What is FIP Photographer of the Year Contest?
“The FIP Photographer of the Year” Contest 2024 is organised by Federation of Indian Photography. The Federation of Indian Photography has decided to organise online Contests thrice a year, each open to all the Indians. Entries must originate as photographs made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. Result will be Announcement on 10th January 2025. Last Date of Contest is 25th December 2024.
Eligibility of FIP Indian Photographer of the Year
** The contest is open to anyone residing in India; however an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the contest rules and conditions.
** The person in charge of the handling of the contest and all FIP office bearers and WC committee members are not permitted to enter the contest.
** An entrant can participate in all 3 contests separately.
** Jury’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.
** FIP reserves the right to change the rules in the interest of smooth conduct of the contest.
Image Creation and Reproduction:
** Entries must originate as photographs made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally.
** All final work must be on electronic file. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own (aliases are not permitted) and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the contest.
** This may include low resolution posting on a website. Major computer generated graphics are not permitted.
How to Submit Entry for FIP Indian Photographer of the Year?
Submission of Entry:
** Each entrant must submit a series of story based 5 digital images with coherence of any subject matter. The set of images can be submitted either in Monochrome or in Colour and not a mixture of both.
** The submission must accompany a “Statement of Intent” in not more than 50 words for the whole Set, explaining your thought process and objective while creating the portfolio of 5 images.
** The portfolio should clearly meet the objectives given in the written statement.
** Your statement should clearly state your intention in choosing the work submitted, in order to enable the Judging Panel to consider your work in a meaningful context. Technical details of the image or camera/lens used should not be included.
** The “Statement of Intent” must be a submitted without mentioning any name or ID on it.
** All images must be in RGB/sRGB colour profile and in JPEG format. The maximum image size is 1920 pixels horizontal and 1080 pixels vertical at 300 dpi. File size should not exceed 2 Mb.
File Name: Serial Number space followed by title of the image.
Example: Image 01 submitted by any entrant titles “Be Positive”, Image 02 “Believe in Yourself”
File Name: 01 Be Positive, 02 Believe in Yourself, and so on.
** Please do not put any underscore or dash in between the File name.
** Registration Form, Statement of Intent and all the 5 Images must be uploaded to our website fip.org.in
Entry Fee: ₹ 300.00 for FIP Member and ₹ 500.00 for Non FIP Member for each contest.
Payment:
Online Transfer: Entry Fee Payment Link will be available on the website after registration. Cash Deposit will not be entertained.
** Entries without full payment of entry fee will be disqualified. The onus of providing the proof of payment lies with the entrant only. Payment details must be sent in email at sonabeniwal.fip[AT]gmail.com.
Results: The results will be posted on website fip.org.in and awarded set of images will also be published on website and Viewfinder.

Awards of FIP Indian Photographer of the Year
** Each contest will have 1st (₹ 10,000.00), 2nd (₹ 7,500.00) and 3rd (₹ 5,000.00) in cash prize.
** Decision of the judges will be final and no further claims will be entertained,
** All the First Winners will compete with each other (same entries) for the final “FIP Photographer of the Year” award which will have a Citation and a cash prize of ₹ 25,000.00
