What is NIDM Poster/ Painting Competition?
Poster/ Painting Competition 2024 is organized by National Institute of Disaster Management NIDM. The Competition for school students of Class 9th to 12th. The Painting Competition aims to make the children aware of the importance of resilient communities for disaster Risk reduction wherein youth can play a leadership role. Last Date of Contest is 8th September 2024.

How To Submit for Poster/ Painting Competition?
The participants may share their entries to the respective SDMAs (State Disaster Management Authorities) through their school authorities. SDMAs will forward two best entries from each state to NIDM for final selection of winners, on the address mentioned below:

Guidelines of Poster/ Painting Competition
** It is proposed to conduct the national level Painting competition through State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA)
** (The entries would be invited from schools (recognized by CBSE/ICSE/State
** Boards etc) by the SDMAs in all the States.
** The painting competition will be held for one category – Class IX to XII
** Up to 2 entries from each State/UTs could be entertained for representation at national level.
** The first 3 winners at the National level will be awarded cash prizes, the certificate of recognition and a memento/medal.
** Wide publicity will be given to the competition through website of NIDM.
** The Painting Competition is to be initiated in the schools of the States/UTs for which State Disaster Management Authorities are requested to give wide publicity to the competition by soliciting participation of eligible school students.
** All eligible students will be allowed to submit only one painting. The participant must mention name, class, age, gender(F/M), contact details (full address, phone, area Pin code and e-mail) either in Hindi or English on the back of the painting (NOT on the painting).
** The painting competition will be held at school level and all the participating schools may submit the best 3 entries to the SDMA of their respective States/UTs. The SDMAs, however, may devise any other method/mechanism to select 2 best entries from the State.
** Each painting should be on A3 sheet.
** Style of painting is free; can be done by any means as crayons, colored pencils, water colours, etc.
** Committee/Jury appointed by ED NIDM will evaluate the paintings received. The decision of the jury of NIDM would be final and binding. The jury will select 3 best paintings out of all the paintings received in their respective State/UT.
** Top three winners will be rewarded with remuneration cheques and a certificate of recognition and a memento/ medal on 9 October 2024 at New Delhi on the occasion of observance of International Day on DRR
** Entries not fulfilling the timeline will be rejected.
** The Rights for Utilisation of paintings submitted for competition would be with the organiser.
