What is ISAB Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition?

Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition 2024 is organized by The Media Cell of Imperial School of Agri-Business (ISAB). Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Agriculture and allied streams are allowed to participate in this competition. Aavirbhava is a three-round photography competition that challenges participants to showcase their creativity, technical skills, and editing prowess through different stages. All finalists will receive certificates of participation. Last Date of Contest is 15th November 2024.

Eligibility of Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition

** Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Agriculture and allied streams are allowed to participate in this competition
** Each team should comprise a minimum of two students and a maximum of four students. The students can be from different full-time programs of the colleges, but they should belong to the same university
** Any number of teams can participate from one College/Institution/University
** A member can be part of only one team related to this event. Although student is eligible to participate in other events as individually or in the group under Sambhramaa 2024.

How to Register for Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition?

Teams have to register online for the event from the following link by November 15

** There is no fee for the registration
** The team leader needs to register for the team with all team members’ details and the team’s name.
** Ensure the contact details entered during registration are correct. We will be relying on this information for future correspondence.

Stages of Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition

Round 1: Raw Theme Submission (Online)
Activity: Teams will capture photos based on a specific theme provided by the organizers.
Submission: Upload the unedited photo as per the guidelines (JPEG/PNG, max size 10 MB).
Round 2: Edited Theme Submission (Online)
Activity: Teams will capture new photos based on a second specific theme and apply creative edits to enhance the impact of the image.
Submission: Upload the edited photos along with a brief description of the editing techniques used (JPEG/PNG, max size 10 MB).
Round 3: Live Event Coverage (Offline at ISAB Campus)
Activity: Finalists will participate in the on-campus event and capture the best moments of various activities happening throughout the day.
Execution: The theme and specific events to be captured will be disclosed on the day of the event.
Editing and Collage: Teams must edit their photos and create a collage showcasing the highlights of the day.
Submission: The final collaged photo must be submitted by the end of the event.

Judging Criteria of Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition

Across all rounds, participants will be evaluated on:
1. Creativity & Originality:
How unique and imaginative are the concepts and execution of the photos?
2. Adherence to the Theme:
Do the photos align with and accurately represent the themes provided?
3. Technical Quality:
Attention to detail in terms of composition, framing, lighting, sharpness, and exposure.
4. Editing Skills (Round 2 & 3):
The level of skill demonstrated in enhancing the photo without losing its authenticity and impact.
5. Event Capturing Ability (Round 3):
How well the team captures key moments and conveys the spirit of the event.

Prizes of Aavirbhava – A Photography Competition

First prize: INR 11000/-
Second prize: INR 5000/-
All finalists will receive certificates of participation.
Note: The Finalists who shall participate in the award ceremony will be asked to visit ISAB Campus for the finale among the shortlisted team. Finalist will be informed in advance with travel details.
