** Those registering after 8am on tournament day will be paired only from 2nd round.
Please note:
1. UKCA registration for the year 2015 – 2016 is compulsory. Rs. 100/- will be charged for unregistered Karnataka players.
2. System of play – Fide laws of chess, Swiss system.
3. Mode of tournament – Total of 7 OR 9 rounds will be played
4. Top two players from each category will represent Karnataka in the U-07 Nationals to be held at Chennai in August 2015.
5. Eligibility: Only for those kids born on or after 01.01.2008.
6. Time control – 45 minutes each with 10 secs increment from move 1.
7. Walk over time – 15 minutes from start of play or as decided in players meeting.
8. Protests – Protests if any, against the decision of the chief arbiter shall be made in writing with a protest Fee of Rs 500/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals committee.
9. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
10. Tie break – Buchholz tie break system will be applied. Withdrawals – A player may withdraw at any stage of the event after informing the Chief Arbiter in writing.
11. Appeals committee – Before the commencement of the tournament, appeals committee will be formed.
12. Each player is eligible for only one prize (the higher one)
13. Rights of admission – Mandya Chess academy reserves the right to admit/ refuse any entry without assigning any reason thereof.
14. Players and accompanying people are requested to make your own arrangements for Stay, travel and food.
15. Cash prizes will not be shared.
16. Note: Please send the duly filled ‘Entry form’ on page 4 by email or post well before the due date.
17. A valid Date of birth certificate is a must for all the participants, to be produced before the start of first round.
18. In girls section the number of rounds will be decided based on the number of entries received.
19. The Tournament is open only for Karnataka players. Those who have played for other state/country in the past, may require a NOC (no objection certificate) from previous state played for.
20. Chief Arbiter – Upadhyaya (FIDE Arbiter) from Karnataka.
