Six Words Story Contest:

** The history of six words stories dates back to almost a century. The first ever six words story was written by renowned author and Nobel Prize winner, Ernest Hemingway, back in 1920. It is said that brevity is the soul of wit – and six words stories are a perfect example.

** Six words stories, however, are a completely different ball game. The ability to write six word stories is a rare and highly-valued gift. In an effort to honor this precious genre of storytelling and to encourage literary ambition, Rajnigandha brings to you the ‘Rajnigandha Six Words Story Contest’.

** It doesn’t matter if you are a budding talent or an old hat at writing, or whether writing is something you always wanted to do but never had the courage. If you can tell us a story in just six words, you have a chance to be one of the lucky few who will get rewarded by Rajnigandha.

** The contest shall identify, showcase and reward 9 of the best six-words stories. The names of three winners of each day shall be announced in the third week of December post the 3-day long Rajnigandha Times Literature festival, 2015 gets over through Rajnigandha’s Facebook Page and Twitter handle.

Guidelines for the Rajnigandha Six Words Story Contest:
** Everyone is welcome to participate.
** You must write an original story in six words.
** Participants can submit multiple entries.
** Your story could be in English, Hindi or a mix of Hindi and English.
** You may tell us your story in any format – story, poetry, prose, etc.
** Please do not include any hyperlinks or videos in your entries.
** Entries must be posted latest by the 25th Jan 2016, at 11:00 PM.

Terms & Conditions:
By participating in this activity, each participant is deemed to have accepted the following terms and conditions:
1.To enter a Contest you must:
(a) Be 18 years of age or above at the time of submitting the entry
(b) Hold a valid ID and Age Proof
(c) Have a permanent address in India.

2.This competition is open only for Indian citizens.
3.All information provided by the Contestant should be true, accurate, and complete.
4.Contest is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of DSL or its affiliates.
5.Any content or entry that DSL deems as hate speech, threat, or pornographic content; inciting violence; or containing nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence; or offensive in any manner will be removed and reported.
6.DSL shall not be responsible if communications or entries sent from an entrant to DSL or from DSL to an entrant, are lost, late or fail to reach the intended destination for any reason whatsoever.

7.The entry should be the Contestant’s original work and the Contestant shall solely own, or otherwise have the full right and permission to exploit, all of the rights in, to, and under the entry and to grant the rights and licenses set forth herein, and such entry does not contain any third party content or intellectual property.
