Kerala Law Academy, a seat of excellence in Legal Education, Consultancy and Research located in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala along with its research arm, the Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research promotes research and advocacy in various cutting edge areas of legal scholarship.

The fest shall comprise of a series of competitions/events:
On-stage Events:
** ‘Lex Academia’ Guest Lecture
** National Seminar on Nuclear Power and Its Regulation
On-stage Competitions:
** Mastermind (Law Quiz – Team Event)
** Articulate (Oratorical Competition – Individual Event)
** The Big Fight (Debating Competition – Team Event)
Off-stage Competitions:
** Wordsworth (Essay Competition – Individual Event)
** J.A.M. (Just A Minute – Individual Event)
General Rules For The Competitions:
1. Eligibility:
The participant must either be a bonafide student pursuing LL.B. Three Year/Five Year Degree Programme from a Law College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India or a student pursuing a course of study from any College/University recognized by the Government of India.
2. Registration:
2.1. Pre-arrival:
2.1.1. An individual who wishes to participate in the National Law Fest 2016 shall send the soft copy of the duly filled Registration Form (present in the Annexure of this document) by Monday, 8th of February, 2016 to the organizers at: lex.academia.kla@gmail.com. This will serve as provisional registration.
2.1.2. The provisional registration will be confirmed by the organizers no later than by Wednesday, the 10th of February, 2016, following which the participants shall send the DD in favour of ‘The Principal, Kerala Law Academy Law College’ to the organizers (hard copy) by post no later than by Thursday, 18th of February, 2016.
2.1.3. The fee structure is as follows:
** Registration fees for those who take part in the entire National Law Fest 2016 will be Rs. 3000/-
** Registration fees for each competition shall be Rs. 500/- per person.
** Registration fees for those who take part in the Guest Lecture and National Seminar alone will be Rs. 1000/-
2.1.4. Once an individual from a College/University has registered themselves for an event then he/she CANNOT alter their registration.
2.2. Post-arrival:
2.2.1. Those who are participating in the competitions MUST BE PRESENT in person on Thursday, 3rd of March, 2016 at the Kerala Law Academy Law College Campus by 8:00 am.
2.2.2. The participants are requested to ensure that they complete the registration process before the start of the Inaugural Function.
2.2.3. All the participants shall carry their College/University Identity Cards at the time of arrival as well as at all times thereafter, during the competition/events.
2.2.4. The participants are advised to carry photocopies of all duly filled forms that have been submitted to the organizers.
2.2.5. The participants may seek clarifications if any regarding their competition/events on or before Monday, 8th of February, 2016.
3. Code of Conduct:
3.1. All the participants MUST be dressed in a dignified manner (FORMAL WEAR).
3.2. Use of mobile phones is STRICTLY PROHIBITED during the events.
3.3. The participants shall strictly follow the timings of each event failing which the participants may be disqualified from that event.
3.4. The participants are requested to check the schedule of the events and plan their participation accordingly. The organizers will not be responsible for the clash of any events.
3.5. Friendly and healthy interaction among the participating teams and with the students of the host college is encouraged and expected.
3.6. Participants shall wear the ID cards issued to them by the organizers at all times.
