Drawing Contest:

To promote the drawing and painting skills of school students, Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) and Sakal Social Foundation have jointly organised a drawing competition on Sunday.

The competition has been organised under the ‘Clean Pune, Green Pune’ initiative at three locations each in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.

Rules :
** The winning participants will be awarded attractive prizes while all participants will be given participation certificates.
** The competition will be held for students in two categories, Class I to IV and Class V to X. Children with special needs can also participate in the competition.
** Interested students can participate directly by visiting one of the six centres.
** The competition will commence at 9 am on February 7. Drawing papers will be provided at the venues and children should carry their stationery, drawing pad and colouring material.
** The participating children have to make drawings on problems faced due to rapid urbanisation like increasing water, sound and air pollution and their effects on daily life. They can also paint on the benefits of using pollution-free fuel on the environment.
** First three winners from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will be awarded prize money of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively.
** Apart from that, three students will be given a consolation prize of Rs 500 each.
