Konkani Kantaram Utsav :

Department of Information and Publicity in collaboration with Tiatr Academy of Goa is organizing a “Konkani Kantaram Utsav”, a special Kantaram Singing Competition of Songs based achievements of the present Government and emphasizing the schemes implemented by this Government for the welfare of the state in order to bring awareness amongst the people on The competition will be held on Tuesday, 8th March 2016 at 4..00 pm at the Main Auditorium of Institute Menezes Braganza.

Eligibility:
** The competition will be in different forms by way of solo/duet/duo/trio/quartet/choral song. However, it will be judged in common. One person can participate in more than one category and also i.e. if he/she sings a solo then he/she can also be a part of a duet, a duo, a trio, a quartet or a choral song or other way round.

** Fresh Application Forms should be used for every category. Lyrics should be strictly based on the schemes implemented by the present Government. Details of various Govt. schemes are available at the counter of TAG office. There is no age limit to participate in this competition. The competition will be judged by a panel of two or three jury members. The decision of the judges will be final and binding on the participants.

The prizes for the competition will be as follows:-
The prizes for Best Singer/Singers (Solo/Duo/Duet/Trio/Quaartet/Choral Song) are:
** 1st Prize-Rs.25,000/-,
** 2nd Prize- Rs. 15,000/- and
** 3rd Prize- Rs. 10,000/-.

The prizes for lyrics are Best Lyrics:
** 1st Prize- Rs.5000/- and
** 2nd Prize- Rs.3000/-.

Application Procedure :
** Besides Cash prizes, certificates will be awarded to the winners & participants.
** The music band for the accompaniment to the singers will be provided by the organizers.
** It is compulsory for the participants to attend the rehearsal/taking notation (Solfeggio) with the band prior to the date of competition.
** This date, time and venue of taking notations/ solfeggio will be intimated to the participants. Travelling allowance to the participants for attending the rehearsals and for the day of performance (@ Rs.100/- per day) will be paid by the organizers.
** Interested persons may apply in the prescribed application form available in the office of Tiatr Academy of Goa.
** The applicant must submit a typed copy of lyrics of the song in Roman script along with the application. (Handwritten lyrics will not be accepted).

Note:
As this competition is meant to disseminate information about the Government schemes/programmes/policies and achievements, there should not be any adverse remarks in any form either written or verbal against any Government / Individual / religion / Institutions or anything against caste, creed and religion in the scripts / lyrics of songs / performances / speeches, etc. which may hurt the sentiments of anybody. If proved so, organizers reserves the right to disqualify the entry.

Last Date :
