Francophonie Festival Contests :

The Alliance française de Bangalore announces 3 contests for this years Francophonie festival, each more exciting than the next, and one Inter-College Francophonie Quiz.

The ten chosen words for 2016 invite us to explore the French spoken in the different territories of the Francophonie:
in France « chafouin » and « fada», in Québec « poudrerie » and « dépanneur », in Belgium « lumerotte » and «dracher », in Switzerland « ristrette » and « vigousse », in Haïti « tap-tap» and in Congo « champagné ». More info on “Dis-moi dix mots” website.

Francophonie Quiz:
Teams of 4 people each will be invited from a few Bangalore colleges to participate in this quiz. Watch them fight it out at the Alliance française on the16th of March from 4.00 pm onwards. So far, it seems like a normal quiz, but is it really ? Come join us and watch the madness unfold with some unusual rounds of Francophone fun !!

My Short French Video – exclusively for AF students:
** Are you always on Instagram or Photobooth ? Are you always trying to capture that perfect moment on your phone camera ?? Well, here is your chance to shine !!
** Create a video that is 20 secs long, using only your cellphone camera (edited or unedited), that illustrates one of the 10 words of Francophonie for 2016.
** The best video will be selected based on creativity and the ease with which onethe selected word can be identified in the video (along with the fact that ONLY CELLPHONE was used).
** Send in your entries by email to communication.bangalore@afindia.org before the 15th of March. Winners will be announced on 18th March by Erika Lernot during her concert.

Prize:
A gift card that entitles the winner to 7000 INR off on the next class at AFB !!

The App Story – Photo contest on the AFB app:
** Yes, the AFB just got savvier with a brand new App available on Play Store and App Store. This contest is open to anyone that has the AF App. Illustrate one of the 10 words of Francophonie for 2016 in a photo and post it in “shouts” on the App. The photo with the most “likes” wins !!
** Contest open till the 15th of March. Winners will be announced on 18th March by Erika Lernot during her concert.

Prize:
A gift card that entitles the winner to 7000 INR off on the next class at AFB !!

Le Journal Francophone – Creative writing contest:
** If it has always been your interest to be a journalist, a writer or explorer, then here is a chance to discover a Francophone country and publish your work in the Newspaper created as class activity “Le journal Francophone”.
** Choose any one of the francophone countries. Give it a creative name. Add your main headline, with a photo & an article. Go for a caricature too if you wish. Maybe an ad too. And hey, do not forget to add 2 more secondary articles.
** Put all of this together on an A3 size sheet. ONLY one sheet. It can be printed, handwritten, collage work,etc.. ( no limits to your creativity). The 3 best entries will win exciting prizes.
