Art Cafe Photo Competition :

On the occassion of it’s 25th Anniversary, HYSEA in association with Art Cafe is conducting a photography competition for citizens of Hyderabad employed in the IT industry.

Highlights of the competition:
** Open to all employees of IT companies located at Hyderabad.
** Twenty Five finalists will be invited to the award-night which will feature a curated exhibition of the submitted photographs.
** One winner and two runner-ups among the finalists will be decided by an expert jury.
** The finalists will be felicitated during the “HYSEA Summit & Awards 2016” on 31-March-2016 with mementos recognizing their talent.
** Exclusive prizes for the winners.

The theme of the competition is: “Reflections on Life as an IT Professional”.

Rules:
** Competition is open to employees of IT Companies located at Hyderabad – Secunderabad – Cyberabad only. Employees of Art Cafe and HYSEA are not eligible.

All submitted images must be original work of the applicant. The following restrictions apply:
** The images should not have won prizes in any other competition.
** The images should not have been part of any exhibit, publication, publicity material etc.
** The images should not have been used for commercial purposes or currently available for commercial use.

The following cameras are permitted:
** Cellular phones.
** Point & Shoots including super-zoom and prosumer cameras.
** DSLR cameras, Mirror-less cameras.

The following cameras are not permitted:
** Film cameras.
** Video cameras including Action cameras, PoV cameras etc.

Submitted images should be straight out of camera (SOOC) in JPEG format. Stills capture from motion video files is not permitted.

The following image enhancement operations are permitted:
** Cropping of image in 1:1, 3:2, 4:3, 16:9 ratio.
** Conversion from colour to gray-scale.
** Global level adjustment / exposure adjustment.

The following image enhancement operations are expressly prohibited:
** Out of camera HDR processing, Hue & Saturation processing – in short, no modifications to colour except as permitted.
** Sharpening, Blurring, Dodging, Blurring etc.
** Panorama image processing etc.
** Cloning, object removal, masking, selective scaling etc.
** Watermarking, captioning, credits superimposition etc.
** Border, Frame, shadows, plugin effects etc.

Note:
** Short-listed applicants will be required to submit unprocessed SOOC images and they will be compared against the submitted entries to check for excessive image processing.
** The rules of the competition are subject to review and modification as required from time to time without any prior notice.
** The prize-winners agree to license the submitted images to the organisers of this competition for unlimited and unfettered use in promotional, commercial, and non-commercial material produced by the organisers.
** The decision of the Organisers of this competition is final in all matters of this competition.
