WCO Photo Competition :

1. The Secretary General, World Customs Organization has informed that World Customs Organization is launching the 8th photo competition by which an exceptional photograph will be rewarded.

2. The competition is an opportunity to involve Customs officers in an enjoyable activity aimed at promoting achievements from around the world.
3. Submissions should illustrate the theme of the year 2016 “Digital Customs Progressive engagement”. Digital Customs entails activities related to Information and Communications technology (ICT) and Big Data.

4. The best submissions will be displayed at the WCO during the Council Sessions in July 2016. During the exhibition, Members will be able to vote for their favorite submission, and the winning administration will be presented with an award on the last day of the Council Sessions.
5. Judging criteria will include its artistry; originality; situation portrayed; atmosphere; and colours.

Specifications of Photos: Each person may submit a single photo/poster, in digital form only, by e-mail or on CD.
Format accepted: PDF, JPEG, GIF, TIF
Resolution: at least 300 DPI
Dimensions of the photo/poster: A3 297 mm x 420 mm
Title and captions: must be provided

6. The photo submitted may be used by the Secretariat to illustrate articles in the WCO News or in other WCO publications, or for exhibition at WCO Headquarters. Any entry which does not conform to these specifications and sizes will be disqualified automatically.

7. The final entry for the competition will be selected by the Central Board of Excise and Customs and sent to WCO. The entries should be sent by mail to indiawco-cbec@nic.in and copy to jscus@nic.in by 25/05/2016. The entry form received from WCO on the above subject is enclosed.
