ABAI proudly presents the first of its kind in India ‘The Art-Animation-Tech MARATHON CHALLENGE’ in association with ‘Govt. of Karnataka’ and Industry Partners

The ‘Art-Animation-Tech Marathon Challenge’ is India’s first of its kind marathon challenge where contestants will go through a creative/technical and physical endurance test for up to 30 hours to claim the coveted ‘SuperMojo’ Title This is being supported by some of the top Animation Studios in India along with Support from the Government, ABAI and leading Industry Partners.

Judging Criteria:
** A panel of experts from the Industry will judge the competition.

** The decision of the judges is final and no discussion will be entertained over the decision.
** You will be purely judged based on your skills. Use all the extra time to polish your entry than spending time on things that will not be accounted for your entry.
** The planning process will also be one of the deciding factors in the judging process.

Guidelines:
** To participate in the competition, you must REGISTER and follow all the relevant guidelines outlined here.
** March 24th, 2016 is the last date for registrations. The list of participants shortlisted to participate in the challenge will be announced by March 24th, 2016
** There will be a nominal registration fee of INR 250 per participant/team, only the shortlisted participants will have to pay this by March 31st, 2016. This is only to make sure we are receiving valid and interested entries.
** All challenges will have two separate categories – Professionals and Students.
** Students must provide valid ID-Proof.
** If you are both a student (valid id needed) and working professional, you will be qualified as a Student and we will also require details of your current employment.
** Guidelines pertaining to Software, Supplies and other Logistics will be shared in the coming days. Keep coming back here for regular updates.
** For the Character Animation Competition, an exclusive Character Rig will be provided by India’s first and only Online Animation Program Native Puppets
** Experts from the Industry will judge the entries.
** No offensive, sexual or derogatory content should be created.
** Shortlisted Competition Candidates must make their own travel arrangements to the Venue – Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore for the days of the Competition.
** It is strongly recommended to be in Bangalore a day prior to the event i.e. April 15th, 2016.
** This will help ensure that you are comfortable and have all queries resolved before the start of the Competition on April 16th, 2016.
** We are working towards arranging a web meeting with all participants before April 16th, 2016. More details regarding this soon.
** Since this is a marathon, participants must factor strenuous working conditions and approach the challenge in a healthy manner. Organizers will not be held responsible under any circumstances.
** To accommodate the marathon challenge, Organizers will provide limited sleeping bags, refreshments.
** The whole idea of the Marathon is to enjoy and celebrate the medium of Animation in a unique and fun way.
** There will be Industry Experts around the Competition Floor to supervise over-the-shoulder of the participants.

Important Dates:

** March 24th, 2016 is the last date to register for the Art ans Animation challenges.
** March 31st, 2016 is the last date to register for the Hackathon challenge.
** April 1st, 2016 is the date on which the names of the shortlisted participants will be announced
** Theme to the Challenge and other specific details pertaining to this category will be revealed just before the start of the Competition. More specific details on this in coming days.
** It is strongly recommended that outstation participants arrive in Bangalore on April 15th, 2016, to be sure you are comfortable and have all queries resolved before the start of the Competition.
** We are working towards arranging a web meeting with all participants before April 16th, 2016. More details regarding this soon.
** The ‘Registration’ for the Challenge will be open till the mid-night of March 24th, 2016.
** Winners will be announced by end of Day 2 of the event – April 17th, 2016

Prizes:
We are currently working with our Industry Partners to bring out handsome prizes to the Winners. We will update this section shortly.
