Sanskaar Valley School Tech Fest 2015 :
Go Animate:
Date: 1 August, 2015
Time: 10:30- 12:30PM
For classes: 6, 7 and 8

Rules:
1. This is an Animated Clip Designing competition.
2. From each school maximum 2 (two) teams can participate.
3. Each team will be represented by 1(one) participant only, from any of the above classes.
4. The team has to prepare an Animated Clip on the theme given on the spot.
5. The time limit for the competition is maximum 2 hours.
6. The participants have to bring their own devices for this event. They should have all the necessary software installed in their device only. The school will not provide any software for participant’s device; however they may use our Lab Computers which will contain only MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Macromedia Flash.

7. The Clips will be judged on the following basis:
(I) Content
(ii) Creativity
(iii) Originality of Ideas & innovation
(iv) Presentation with animation
(v) Technical specifications

8. Teams must only use the images they have created themselves or the image provided by the organizer. (A pool of images related to the theme will be provided.)
9. Internet access will not be provided.
10.The decision of the judges is final and binding.

Digi Paint:
Date: 1 August, 2015
Time: 10:30- 12:30PM
For classes: 5 and 6

Rules:
1. This is a Digital Painting competition.
2. From each school maximum two teams can participate.
3. Each team will be represented by 1 (One) participant only.
4. The team has to prepare a painting on any one of the topic given on the spot.
5. The time limit to prepare the painting is hours . Additional 30 minutes are kept for giving instructions and compiling work.

6. One multimedia computer will be provided by the organizers.
The effectiveness of the painting will be judged on the following basis:
(i) Content (Relevance of the picture with the topic)
(ii) Creativity & Innovation
(iii) Overall Presentation
(iv) Selection of Colors

7. Internet connection will not be provided for the presentation.
8. All paintings shall be designed using MS Paint Software.
9. The decision of the judges is final and binding.

The IT Quiz:
Date: 1 August, 2015
For classes: 6, 7 and 8
Time: Elimination Round: 10.15 – 10.45 am & Final Round: 11:45 – 12.45 pm

Rules:
1. This is a Quiz competition.
2. From each school maximum 1 (One) team can participate.
3. Each team will be represented by 4 (four) participants only, choosing at least one from each class.
4. There will be two rounds in this competition.
5. Participants will answer the preliminary written round on the pre-printed answer sheets supplied by the organizer.
6. Top 4 teams will qualify for the final round based on their performance in the written preliminary round. Before the Final Round, the quizmaster will give the answers for the prelims and announce the top 4 (four) team names and invite them on stage to participate in the final round.
7. The final will comprise of oral questions, audio, visual, connect and rapid-fire rounds. The scoring system & rules of the round will be explained by the quizmaster before each round.

8. Subject of the quiz:
a. The quiz will mainly focus on application of Information & Communication Technology across various sectors and aspects such as: World of Internet and unique websites, IT – buzzwords and acronyms.
b. Personalia – International, National and Communication companies. (Example: Microsoft, TCS, IBM, Dell, Lenovo, HP, Google, Amazon, etc.)
c. Software products, companies and brands. History of IT and also the humorous side of IT.
d. Areas where IT has made an impact – education, entertainment, books, multimedia, music, movies, internet, banking, advertising, sports, gaming, social networking, cell phones, etc.

e. Exclusive rounds on:
i. Google Doodle.
ii. Online safety and online reputation management.

Digi Web:
Date: 1 August, 2015
Time: 10:30 – 12:30 PM
For classes: 9 and 10

Rules:
1. This is a Web Designing competition.
2. From each school maximum one team can participate.
3. Each team will be represented by 2 (two) participants only. The participants can be from same or different classes.

4. The team has to send a prepared website on the CD/DVD on any one of the topic given below:
i) Online Shopping
ii) Technology in Education
iii) Competitive Examinations in India

5. The team has to submit the CD/DVD/Pen drive containing the web site by 20th July, 2015.
6. The CD/DVD/ Pen drive must contain Names of the Participants, School Name and Event Name.
7. Only the shortlisted seven (7) teams will present the website before the jury on the day of event and they may be questioned by the jury members.
8. The time limit of the web site presentation is maximum 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes question- answer session.
9. The participant has to bring their own devices for this event. They should have all the necessary software installed in their device only. The school will not provide any software for participant’s device. Although one multimedia computer and projection facilities will be provided by the School.

10. The performance of the website will be judged on the following basis:
I) Content
ii) Creativity
iii) Presentation
iv) Technical specifications
v) Coding

11. The decision of the judges is final and binding.
