It’s that time of the year again when you start planning your itinerary to Shimla for the 11th edition of Hero MTB Himalaya. Welcome to the euphoria of mountain biking, to India’s premier international mountain biking challenge – Hero MTB Himalaya

The legendary mountain bike race, set in the lower foothills of majestic Himalayan mountain range takes you to the most pristine and untouched parts of the Himalayan backcountry. Every year, our endeavour is to make the race better, tougher and more exciting.

This year’s edition will take you along never before explored tracks, more advanced routes and better cycling conditions. Test your determination and skill on unchartered trails, participate amongst the best international and national level riders. Experience real mountain biking set amidst the majestic Deodars in the foothills of the Himalayan range, covering 500 km/380 miles and 3250 mt above sea level over a period of 9 days.

Ride through the interiors, hike through deep forests, soak in the sun and experience nature all around. Pedal your way through gut wrenching uphills, spiralling downhills, village back roads, beautiful meadows, thick vegetation, jeep tracks and savor real mountain biking.

The adventure commences in Shimla as the race is flagged off on 27th September 2015. The registrations and requisite briefings are done a day before. The 7 days put you through obstacles and test your perseverance. Gear up for an inconceivable journey through the grandiose of the Himalayas.

After a successful decade of organizing MTB Himalaya, HASTPA has redesigned the event by including an advanced and a challenging route, better cycling conditions, a great camping experience, all in all to provide you an unforgettable and exhilarating cycling adventure. Get ready to be mesmerized by the grandeur of the ancient Himalayas that stand high and mighty in all their glory. We promise that we will make this an experience of a life time. The registration for the 11th edition of HERO MTB Himalaya is OPEN NOW. Follow the registration instructions below. Registration forms would be accepted till 1st september 2015. First 15 confirmed entries by 15th January would get a 15% discount on race fee. For any query or special request, please email us at mtbhimalaya@hastpa.org.

There are following riding/participating categories in Hero MTB Himalaya 2015.
** Open Men Solo
** Open Women Solo
** Masters Solo (age 40 and above)
** Team of Two
** Sponsored Rider
** Supporter( non-racing)
** Tripper(non-racing)

Note:
** The minimum age of participation in any category is 18 years.
** Entries closes on 1st September 2015 ( 18th September with late fee).
** For each category to be competitive a minimum of 5 contestants/ teams are mandatory.

Registration Details:
** Each participant has to register independently.
** Your registration is only considered a binding document once your registration forms have been received along with the full fees.
** if you are not able to register online then you may register by downloading this registration form and sending a scanned copy of it after filing it up at mtbhimalaya@hastpa.org
