Kanabis Vegan Shoes Contest :
** The best thing about fashion is getting to show the world who you really are in a creative and positive way. So, to tip our hats to all the stylish women who rock vegan fashion so they can feel good on the inside and out, we are giving away peep-toe wedges from top vegan footwear designer Kanabis.

** All you have to do for a chance to win these shoes – complete with the “PETA-Approved Vegan” logo – is answer this simple question: Why do you feel compassion is the only real fashion ? The two cruelty-free trendsetters with the most compelling answers about why it’s important to incorporate compassion into fashion will get to slide their feet into a pair of adorable peep-toe wedges.
** One pair is a timeless blue with white polka dots, and the other is a fetching floral print that’s perfect for summer! Three other contestants whose answers are also inspiring will receive a Kanabis spiral-bound notebook along with a pen with the company’s standout black-and-gold logo .
** Cows, sheep, alligators, dogs, crocodiles and other animals were not put on this planet for humans to kill and wear. But each year, the global leather industry kills more than a billion animals for their skins. Inside the slaughterhouse, cows’ throats are often cut in full view of other cattle, who are forced to watch and wait.
** Some have their legs hacked off while they’re still conscious, and some endure the agony of being skinned while still aware of what is happening to them. PETA US’ exposé of Hermès’ exotic-skins suppliers uncovered workers crudely hacking into the necks of alligators and trying to scramble their brains with metal rods.
** Some animals were still conscious, flailing and kicking, even minutes after workers tried to kill them . Fur is also foul: dogs, cats, foxes, minks, rabbits and other animals are suffocated, poisoned, electrocuted, bludgeoned, hanged or bled to death for fashion.
** PETA US’ exposé of the wool industry is just as grim: eyewitnesses documented that shearers violently punched terrified sheep in the face, stamped and stood on the animals’ heads and necks, threw them, mutilated them with sharp metal clippers and even beat their heads with electric clippers and a hammer.
** The best fashion statement anyone can make is a compassionate one. Thanks to all the vegan designers out there, it’s never been easier to prove that you don’t need to harm animals to turn heads. Good luck! And remember: all vegan fashion plates are winners! This contest is for residents of India only. The call for entries closes on 30 April 2016, and the winners will be announced by 4 May 2016.
