Lek Mazi Ladki Aaiche Shabda Contest :

The following Principal and General rules are the rules and regulations  which shall be binding on each and every participant  who voluntarily agree to participate in the “Lek Mazi Ladki- Aaiche Shabda” Contest  which will be hosted by Star India Private Limited  as a part of the promotion and viewer engagement of the program titled “Lek Mazi Ladki”  to be aired on STAR Pravah.

Principle Rules:

1. STAR INDIA shall announce and market the Contest through advertisements on in print media (newspapers having wide circulation) (“Print Platform”) anytime from 22nd April, 2016 to 28th April, 2016.

2. The Contest shall be open for participation from 22nd April, 2016 IST 0600 hours up to 28th April, 2016 IST 2359 hours (“Contest Period”) and any extensions/modifications as notified by Star India from time to time. STAR reserves all rights to make amendments to the Contest Period or such other terms and conditions stated herein, without giving prior notice.

Star also reserves the right to (i) cancel and/or postpone the Contest or the contest Events (defined below) without any prior intimation to the Participants or (ii) modify the process for participation or process of selecting Winners (as defined below) (iii) extend or curtail the Contest Period or suspend or abandon the same at any time, and the Participant shall have no objection to the same whatsoever, nor shall the Participant make any claims /disputes in respect of the same.

3. The Contest shall be triggered on the Print Platform twice anytime during the Contest Period and shall essentially comprise of mothers of daughters participating in the Contest by answering multi choice questions based on the Program in general. The Contest shall consist of the Participant by providing correct answers to the 3 (three) mutli choice questions provided in the Print Platform (“Contest Questions”) and sharing a written message in Marathi language for their daughter in the manner provided below.

It is clarified that each Contest Question triggered during the Contest Period shall be factual based on the Program in general. The winners of the Contest shall be chosen by STAR India after the Contest Period (maximum 15 (fifteen) winners) and shall be gratified in the on-ground events organized by STAR India in each of the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, Solhapur and Aurangabad (“Eligible Cities”) in the manner provided below.

4. To participate in the Contest and to be eligible for the Gratification (as defined below), all persons interested in participating and /or Participants shall be mandatorily required to do the following during the Contest Period:
a. Write a message in the form of a letter (which is legible, if handwritten) for her daughter (biological or adopted) in Marathi language and not exceeding 250 (two hundred and fifty) words (“Letter Message”);
b. Specify the correct answer in the Letter Message for all the 3 (three) Contest Questions provided on the Print Platform from the answer choices given for each Contest Question (“Answer”);
c. Specify in the Letter Message the city from the Eligible Cities in which the Participant resides or is closest to;

d. Share personal information about herself in the Letter Message viz. as residential address, contact number on which the Participant may be contacted (“Calling Number”), her daughter’s full name and such other information that may be requested on the Print Platform (such information shall collectively be referred as “Personal Information”);

e. Seal the Letter Message and courier it PO Box No. 37454, J.B. Nagar Post Office, Mumbai 400059 (“Specified Address”) on or before 28th April, 2016.
f. It may be clarified that the Participants shall not receive an acknowledgment from STAR India of having participated in the Contest or of having successfully submitted the Letter Message.

g. Writing a Letter Message by the Participant for her daughter in Marathi language (which is legible, if handwritten) which is not exceeding 250 (two hundred and fifty) words, providing correct answers to all the Contest Questions in the Letter Message, sharing the requisite Personal Information which is current and updated as required in Print Platform, sealing the Letter Message and couriering it to the Specified Address on or before 28th April, 2016, shall be considered as a complete and valid entry for the purpose of the Contest (“Entry”).

If the Participant fails to follow the procedure mentioned above in the order stated or she is not residing in the State of Maharashtra or she is a minor who submits an Entry (even if such Entry is correct) then the Participant(s) shall be ineligible to be shortlisted for the Gratification (as defined below). It may be clarified that failure by the Participant to specify the Eligible City in the Letter Message shall not invalidate the Entry submitted by such Participant.

STAR India in such a case shall be free to choose the Eligible City on behalf of the Participant (basis the residential address provided in the Letter Message) and the Participant shall, for the purposes of this Contest be unconditionally bound by such selection. For the avoidance of doubt, by submitting the Entry, the Participant(s) is representing that contents thereof are not confidential or comprise any sensitive personal information.
