64th All India Police Athletic Championship – 2015 :

Kerala Police proudly welcomes you to God’s own country, to participate in the 64th All India Police Athletic Championship -2015 which will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Event Date : 07/09/2015 to 11/09/2015

Arrival :

All the Team Managers on arrival in the State will report at the 64th All India Police Athletic Championship -2015, Meet Secretariat of the Organising Committee located at the Central Sports Office, Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

The detailed schedule of the 64th All India Police Athletic Championship -2015 will be handed over to the Team Managers on their arrival.

Accommodation :

Accommodation for the participants, accompanying officials, judges and senior officials will be available from 05/09/2015. The Teams should bring their own bedding and kits.

The Names of Senior Officers coming to Thiruvananthapuram for the Games, along with details of time of their arrival, mode of transport and probable duration of stay may be intimated well in advance, so as to make arrangements for their proper reception, transport and accommodation.

Messing :
All the participating teams should bring their own Mess items with cooks / camp followers. Assistance will be provided to procure Gas, Firewood, Provisions, Vegetables, Meat etc. from the local market.

Transport :
Internal transport will be provided to Officers, Managers and team members for their to and fro journey, from the place of stay to the venue of competition.

Air / Rail Reservations :
The participating teams are requested to make their own reservation for their return Air/ Rail journey from Thiruvananthapuram, well in advance. However, assistance for confirmation of reservations could be sought from the Organizing Committee office.

Security :
All officers and members of the teams are requested to carry their own Official identity cards, from the security point of view. The Managers of the participating teams should send two recent passport size photographs of each of the participants / Officials along with the entry forms, for the purpose of preparing Identity Cards for the 64th All India Police Athletic Championship -2015.

Eligibility :

All participants of the Meet, other than Gazetted Officers of and above the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, shall have to be enlisted in the service / organization, for a continuous period of not less than one year before the commencement of the Meet. No one below the age of 18 years shall be eligible to participate in the Meet. A certificate of such eligibility shall be furnished by an officer not below the rank of Inspector General of Police and such a certificate shall be appended to the nominal roll of the team.

Entry and Entry Fees :

Entry fee at the rate of Rs. 50/- per participant including Reserves, Manager, Doctor and Coaches should be paid in lump sum to the Organizing Secretary. This amount should be remitted through Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Organizing Secretary, 64th All India Police Athletic Championship -2015,Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala payable at the State Bank of Travancore, Jagathy, Thiruvananthapuram.

Discipline :
A very high standard of discipline is expected from the men and officers of the participating teams. The team managers will be personally responsible for the orderly behavior of their team members.

Conduct of the Championship :

The 64th All India Police Athletic Championship -2015 will be conducted strictly as per the rules laid down by the All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi. The Officials, who are on the list of National / State Federations / Associations, will conduct the events. No case of indiscipline either by the participants or by the officials is expected during the Meet.

Settlement of Protests :
Protests, if any, about any decision or other matter relating to the Meet may be lodged by any participating team through its Manager with the Organizing Committee. Such protests will be in writing and shall be made within two hours of the completion of the event. A fee of Rs. 500/- shall be paid as protest fee in each case. The decision of the Jury of Appeal in respect of the protests lodged shall be final.

Dress for the Competitions and Opening and Closing Ceremonies :
All the members of the participating teams in competitions are requested to wear a vest/shirt of a distinctive colour with the name of the concerned police force clearly printed on it, so that it is visible from a distance. All the members of a Team taking part in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies should wear identical dress (be it track suits, blazers, pants/vests etc.). For the Opening and Closing Ceremonies traditional wear can be worn, but it should be uniform for all team members.

Entry Form and Nominal Roll :
Specimen of entry form and nominal roll for the championships is enclosed. Two copies of the entry forms along with the nominal roll duly filled should be sent to the undersigned on or before 10.08.2015

Opening Ceremony :

The Opening Ceremony will be held on 07/09/2015 AN at the Venue of the Meet at Thiruvananthapuram. All the teams should bring the flags of their State Police / Central Police Organisation / Union Territory. The flags should be of the following specifications
** Flag for hoisting ……………….. 6’ X 4’ – 1
** Flag for march past …………… 3’ X 2’ – 1

Closing Ceremony :
The Closing Ceremony will be held on 11/09/2015 AN at the venue of Meet, Thiruvananthapuram. Rehearsals for the Opening and Closing ceremonies will be conducted at 08.00hrs. on 06/09.2015 and 10.09.2015 at the venue of the meet at Thiruvananthapuram. All the participating teams should attend the rehearsals without fail.

Managers’ Clinic :
All Team Managers will attend a Clinic at 15.00 hrs. on 06.09.2015 at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. All matters relating to the conduct of the Championships will be discussed in the clinic and hence all Managers and Team Captain should necessarily attend the clinic without fail.

Weather :
The weather of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala during September will be quite moderate and pleasant. Hence no winter clothing is required during this period.
