Star Bhakti Mein Shakti Contest

Following are the terms and conditions  that shall be binding on each participant  worldwidewho voluntarily desire to participate in this activity titled “STORIES OF FAITH” hosted by Star India Private Limited  for the purpose of promotion and viewer engagement of the program ‘BHAKTI MEIN SHAKTI’  airing on STAR India’s channel Life OK and Life OK HD.

Terms & Conditions:

(I) Entrants’ Eligibility:
(a) The activity is open only to persons who are citizens of India and persons who are eighteen years (18) and above during the Activity Period (defined below).

(II) Activity Procedure:
(a) The Activity shall start on May 28,2016 and end with the last episode of the Program and/or any other period, at the complete discretion of STAR India (‘Activity Period’). The Activity is merely to enable the Participant to send written entries relating to their real life experiences about bhakti ki shakti or the power of prayers and a miraculous encounter due to their faith in God in Hindi or English language only (‘Story’).

Participant agrees and acknowledges that the Story must not exceed a maximum word limit of 300 (three hundred) words. Participant further represents and acknowledges that the Participant is required to submit all proof (videos, news clip, official reports etc.) which forms the basis of the Story along with the Story (collectively the ‘Proof of Story’). The Participant agrees that for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, a Story and the Proof of Story shall collectively be referred to as ‘Entry(ies)’.

(b) Participants can participate in the Activity by sending their Entries to hello@lifeok.com or mailing the same at PO box no. 7407. STAR India may at its complete discretion advertise the Activity during the Activity Period on the Channels through astons, scroll ins and/or through any other means as deemed fit by it.

(c) The Participant(s) represents, warrants and undertakes that the Entry submitted does not infringe the rights of any third party including rights in any intellectual property and is original. Participant(s) acknowledges that two or more identical Entries shall be disqualified from the Activity. The Participant further represents and warrants that the Entry is free from any lien, encumbrance, charge or any third party interest.

(d) For the sake of clarity, all legally protectable elements including rights, title and interest in Entry shall remain protected and continue to vest with the Participant(s) as per applicable laws. If however, STAR India is keen to exploit or utilize the protectable elements of the Entry, if any, at its sole discretion, then a representative of STAR India will get in touch with the Participant to execute the detailed agreement and/or other necessary documentation.

The Participant agrees to execute all documents, agreements and take all actions necessary and as per requirement of STAR India to give effect to this understanding. The Participant agrees and acknowledges that STAR India is not obligated to use the Entry submitted as part of the Activity or in any other manner whatsoever.

(e) The Participants represent, warrant and undertake that the Entry submitted are not indecent and are not immoral, defamatory, abusive, offensive, insensitive, libellous or blasphemous to any person, religious sect or section of the society, or infringe the rights of any third party including intellectual property etc. Participant undertakes not to host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, update or share any information that-

(f) The Participant further represents and warrants that the Entry does not contain any confidential information relating to a third party and/or any information relating to a third party which the Participant is not lawfully authorized to disclose whether under a contractual obligation with a third party and/or applicable laws in the territory of the whole world.

(g) STAR India shall not be responsible in the event the Entries are not sent/delivered via email or physical delivery, due to technical error of any nature or error on the part of any third party service provider, as the case maybe. Any automated confirmation does not constitute proof of actual receipt. For purposes of the Activity, “receipt” of Entries occurs only when the website server records the Activity information upon the entrant clicking “Send” button.

(h) The Participant(s) agree and confirm that STAR India shall at no time be held responsible and/or liable for any non-receipt of an Entry due to a technical error and/or defect in the functioning of the website server, and to the extent permissible in law, the Participant(s) waives his/ her right to initiate any claim, proceedings, actions, damages, suits, in relation to the same against STAR India.

(i) Any decisions of STAR India/Channel shall not be subject to any appeal of any nature whatsoever, to the extent permissible under law. The submission of Entry in the Activity shall be construed that the Participant has waived his/her right to dispute any decision(s) made by STAR India/Channel, to the extent permissible under law.

(j) By participating in the Activity, it shall be construed that the Participant(s) – (a) has waived his/her right to raise any dispute with regard to the Activity and/or any decision of STAR India, in any manner whatsoever, to the extent applicable under law; (b) has read and understood these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Participant(s)’ act of participation in the Activity will be deemed acceptance to abide by the same.
