MANHATTAN SHORT is not a touring Festival; rather, it is an instantaneous celebration that occurs simultaneously across the globe, bringing great films to great venues and allowing the audiences to select their favorites.

If the Film Festival experience truly is about getting great works in front of as many eyes as possible, MANHATTAN SHORT offers the ultimate platform — one that sees its films screened in Sydney, Mumbai, Moscow, Vienna, Cape Town to cinemas in all fifty states of the United States and beyond.

Guidelines:
** Short Films under 20 minutes (excluding credits)
** Last date of Submission – 31st July 2016
** Submission Fee: Rs. 2,400
** Entries without payment of submission fee will not be accepted.

Two options are available for participating to the festival:
1. Participating only for MANHATTAN SHORT – Vote for India Festival
2. Participating for MANHATTAN SHORT – Vote for India Festival and also availaing the distribution offer from Pocket Films which would mean that your film not only gains awareness across various platforms including TV but you also participate in the success through revenue share.

Prizes:

1) The winner of the MANHATTAN SHORT Vote for India initiative will win:
i) Either a ticket to New York to attend the closing event of MANHATTAN SHORT
ii) OR A production grant from Pocket Films for their next short film

2) The Top 3 films will be screened at the Indian venue(s) of the festival along with the global top 10 MANHATTAN SHORT finalists
3) The Top 3 Films will also get a Certificate and a trophy from Pocket Films
4) If any participating film wins the MANHATTAN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, prizes if any shall be given by MANHATTAH SHORT directly.

Terms For Claiming The 1st Prize (Vote For India):
** If the prize is for a trip to new york
** Must possess a valid Passport
** Must apply for and receive a valid visa to travel to the destination
** Must adhere to all the rules, regulations and terms as applicable to each traveller to the destination
** Must take necessary insurance as may be desired
** Must understand that the contest promoters are only responsible for providing the airline tickets to New York and entry to the festival. All other arrangements and costs for the trip have to be arranged for and borne by the Participant
** The organisers bring this offer on a best effort basis. The winning participant hereby confirms that it will not hold the Organisers or it’s employees or representatives responsible for any untoward incident he/she may endure in relation with fulfilment of this prize.
** The Organisers liability for the prize is limited to bearing the cost of economy air travel from Mumbai to New York. All other costs and requirements are the responsibility of the winning participant.

If The Prize Is For A Production Grant:
** The production grant offer is brought to you by Pocket Films
** The director of the winning film will be entitled to avail this offer
** The director (which may include his team) will have to submit the story and screenplay of the proposed film for approval to Pocket films.
** Pocket Films reserves the right to appoint an Executive producer for the project.
** The maximum production grant provided by Pocket Films shall be not greater than Rs.75,000 and can be either in the form of cash or by providing production facilities (equipment rentals, etc.) or both.
** Any amount required over and above that limit will be paid for by the participant.
** The cash component of the grant, if any, will be on re-imbursement basis payable to the participant upon his submission of the completed film to Pocket Films.
** Pocket Films will be the perpetual owner and all rights holder for the film so produced.
** The film maker will be entitled to a revenue share as per the terms mentioned in the “Revenue Share” section only after Pocket Films has recovered the entire amount of production grant invested in the film in cash and kind.
** All decisions with regard to the grant shall be taken by Pocket Films and shall be final and binding
