Coimbatore Marathon 2015:

The Coimbatore Cancer Foundation (CCF) in association with Coimbatore Runners, the force behind the Coimbatore Marathon have been working non-stop to ensure that the running event is a memorable one.

Race Day : Sunday 4th October 2015

Founded on 4th March 1991, CCF operates out of G Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore. The Coimbatore Marathon brings together people from various walks of life from across the country to help spread awareness and support those who are fighting cancer.

CCF’s vision is to create a world-class marathon which the citizens of Coimbatore will be proud to host, year on year, with runners from all over taking part.

By hosting the marathon every year on the first Sunday of October, with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, CCF aims to make the Coimbatore Marathon a permanent fixture in the running calendar of the country. The beautiful vistas, the brilliant weather and the warm, hospitable people of the city are sure to make the event exciting – in all, this has all the makings of a not-to-be-missed occasion that the running community can look forward to every year.

CCF has teamed up with Coimbatore Runners and Show Space to bring to you the Coimbatore Marathon. Coimbatore Cancer Foundation was conceived by “Padmabhushan” Shri. K. Sreenivasan, who was himself a cancer patient. The Foundation was and established on 4th March, 1991 and currently functions as a registered charitable trust and a research institution providing Counseling and Cancer Care Support to patients and their family members in the cancer wards (VNCC) of G Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore.

Coimbatore Runners:

Coimbatore Runners is an informal assembly of people who share a passion for running, founded in December 2011. Presently the group has about 325 members, with a broad spectrum of interests, professions and various age groups. The primary intent of the group is to promote recreational running as one of the choices for a healthier lifestyle. Membership is free.

Show Space:

Show Space is one of India’s leading event management companies that began its journey back in 1998. Since then we have been organizing events, exhibitions, expos and shows for diverse clientele such as TVS, Nokia, Chennai Super Kings, The Hindu, Saint Gobain, Ashok Leyland, PayPal and many more. With a strong in house team of over 30 members, we have also brought in resources to spearhead think tanks, digital and activation executions.

Offline Registrations:

You need to visit the website and fill in your details online. Choose offline mode of payment while submitting the form. You will then be sent a verification code via SMS to the mobile number given. You then need to visit one of the approved outlets, show the code and make the payment [by cash only] to confirm the registration.

From the time you fill your details on the website you have only 3 days to complete the process. Else, your account becomes invalid. You may have to visit the website and repeat the process all over again.
