Essay/Painting/ Photography Competition 2015:
June 21 was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014. As a part of the International Day of Yoga celebrations at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, the Coimbatore campus is conducting the following competitions for students of Amrita University:-

Essay Competition:
** Choose ONE of the topics listed below and submit an essay of 1500-2000 words
** Yoga in daily life – possibilities and challenges
** Role of Yoga as a solution provider to national issues
** Role of Yoga in developing an integrated education methodology
** Yoga the path to the inner harmony and peace
** How Yoga changed my life
** Yoga is not a religion it’s a science- of integrating body, mind and soul
** Submit your essay in pdf format with title page as given below. Name the file as: roll number_essay [ Eg: CBENU4MEE13506_essay ]

Painting Competition:
** Submit a painting (oil painting, poster colors, color pencil art etc) on any ONE of the following topics:
** Yoga, Environment and Sustainability
** Yoga and World Peace
** Yoga and Self-Transformation
** The painting may be scanned and sent via email in jpg, png or pdf formats. Name the file with your roll number_painting. [ Eg: CBENU4MEE13506_painting ]

Photography Competition:
** Submit a photograph (.jpg or .png format) of yourself, your family members or friends practicing yoga and add an appropriate caption.
** Name the file with your roll number_photo [ Eg: CBENU4MEE13506_photo ]

Guidelines for Submission:
** Submit your entries via email to amrita.idayofyoga@gmail.com (link sends e-mail) with subject “Essay Submission” or “Painting Submission” or “Photo Submission”.
** Only one entry per person for each competition is allowed
** Please include the following statement below your submission “I see my submission as a contribution to spreading the awareness of Yoga and it is my original work”.
** Last Date to send in your submissions is 15 June 2015

** Email Id
