Sammelan Poster Competition :

15th Girimitra Poster Competition begins on 15th June 2016 at 12:00 am and ends on 30th June 2016, at 11.59 pm (IST). By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest.

Presentation / Poster Competition on Historical Monuments in Sahyadri*:
** While roaming in sahaydri mountains we come across many carved sculptures on monuments of forts, temples, caves etc. Be it numerous forms of floral motifs or different deities. Hardly do we try to analyze the significance of such carving.
** With intent of triggering interest and curiosity among trekkers for knowing the science and history related to such sculptures we are ntroducing this poster competition.
** Here we expect people to submit us a poster presentation on any sculptures found in Sahyadri including few photos of such monuments and narrating historic and scientific information of the same.
** The subject may include temples, bastions, cannons, carvings, caves or sculptures in the Sahyadri. Make a presentation of 36 inches x 24 inches.

Who may enter?:
Any Indian citizen may participate in this photography competition. There are no participation fees for this competition.

Rules & Regulations:
1. Maximum of 2 entries can be submitted by each participant.
2. Only hard copies will be accepted.
3. All the entries sent for this exhibition must be original work of the entrants. He / She should keep ready RAW image / Exif data etc. if asked by Judges.
4. Without write up presentation is ineligible
5. You can present any number & any size of photos with write up.
6. Borders are allowed in the presentation.
7. Do not write entrants name.
8. Girimitra Sammelan reserves the right to reproduce / use of accepted entries for Catalogue Printing, Press Publicity, Web Publicity etc.
9. Submission of entries implies acceptance of rules of the competition. Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
10. Girimitra Sammelan reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify and / or remove any Entry that does not comply with the competition rules.

11. In no event will the Organizers or event representatives be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising out of any contestant’s access to and use of the website or because of virus.

12. Girimitra Sammelan will not be responsible for failure of receipt, loss or damage of posters entered in the competition due to currier or transit.
13. The posters must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
14. Each entry does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity.
15. Photographs used in poster must be only from within the sahyadri region. Images taken outside this limit are not allowed.
16. Every poster should be absolutely clear of copyright norms, without any claims. Entrant will be solelyresponsible if any such copyright / infrigent issues are raised.

Format Guidelines:
** No watermarking.
** Photographer’s name should not be visible on images (every effort is made to judge entries based solely on the image and without distractions)

How to enter:
1. Each entry consists of a duly filled entry form and the submission of poster.
2. Complete the entry form with the required information, including your name, address, telephone number, email address and respective poster title.
3. Submit Entry form & Poster / Presentation hard copy at: Maharashtra Seva Sangh, Above Apna Bazar, Mulund West

Entry Last Date:
All the entries must be submitted before 30th June 2016. After this date any entry will not be accepted.

Judging:
1. Judging will be conducted by renowned experts from the same field.
2. Winning posters will be published in the 15th Girimitra Sammelan souvenir as per the availability of space.
3. Decisions of the judges will be final.
4. Final entries will be selected and will be exhibited as per the availability of space at venue.
5. There will be Two Awards (Trophy) in this category.
