Sonyacha Paus Contest :

The following are the terms and conditions which shall be binding on each and every participant who voluntarily agree to participate in the contest titled “SONYACHA PAUS CONTEST” (“Contest”) hosted by Star India Private Limited on Star India’s channel named “Star Pravah” as a part of the promotion and viewer engagement of the Channel.

Principal Rules:

1. Star India shall announce and market the Contest via on air promotions and astons on the Channel, in-show promotions on the Channel, the Channel’s social media platforms, and/or other channels of Star India, Newspaper ads, Radio, Outdoor and Digital or through any other medium of exploitation which shall be at the sole discretion of Star India from June 26, 2016 onwards.

2. The Contest shall be a daily contest triggered on the Channel between 8.30 PM Indian Standard Time (“IST”) and 9.30 PM IST on Mondays to Saturdays (“Daily Period”) during the Contest Period (defined below). The Contest shall commence from July 18, 2016 at 8.30. P.M and shall conclude on 6th August, 2016 at 9.30 P.M IST (both days included) (“Contest Period”) on the Channel.

Star India reserves all rights to make amendments to the Contest Period or such other terms and conditions stated herein, without giving prior notice. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Participant (s) to check the Terms and Conditions for the Contest on the Channel and /or the Website from time to time.

3. For the purpose of the Contest, the Channel logo may undergo digital transformation in the form of a digital bug to create a visual of ‘shower of gold coins’ once or multiple times during the Daily Period (“Digitized Bug”) on the Channel.  The Contest shall essentially require the Participant(s) to count the number of times the Digitized Bug appears on the Channel each day during the Daily Period.

It is clarified that the Digitized Bug shall appear on the Channel only between Mondays to Saturdays between 8.30. P.M IST and 9.30 P.M IST during the Contest Period.

4. To participate in the Contest and to be eligible for the Prize (as defined below), all persons interested in participating and /or Participants shall be mandatorily required to do the following during the Contest Period:
i. Tune in to the Channel during the Daily Period and manually count the number of times the Digitized Bug appears on the Channel during the Daily Period;

ii. SMS through registered phone number of the Participant, the correct ‘number’ of times the Digitized Bug appears on the Channel during the Daily Period in the manner provided hereunder (“Answer”). If the Participant has seen the Digitized Bug on the Channel thrice during the Daily Period, he shall SMS – SONA <space> 3 to 57827;

iii. The Participants shall submit the Answer and the Channel shall record the Answers submitted by the Participants only between 9.30 PM IST on a particular day to 3.30 PM IST on the next day (“Answer Period”). For example, if the Participant has seen the Digitized Bug five times on the Channel during the Daily Period on Day 3 of the Contest Period, the Participant may submit his Answer in respect of the same between 9.30 PM IST on Day 3 to 3.30 PM IST on Day 4 only.

Answers for a particular day submitted after the Answer Period for such day shall not be considered for the purpose of the Contest for such day and entries submitted for such purpose shall be disqualified by Star;

iv. It is clarified that each Answer sent in the form of SMS during the Answer Period should contain the respective keywords followed by <space> followed by their reply in the form of numeric;

v. Each Participant sending an Answer in the manner provided above shall receive 2 SMS acknowledgments as provided below:
a. The Participant shall receive an SMS immediately upon having sent his Answer stating “Thanks for your response! We will inform you if your entry has been selected. Keep watching Star Pravah to increase your chances of winning Your participation confirms that you agree to contest Terms and Conditions of the Contest uploaded on the Website.”. Any OTHER automated receipt confirmation shall not constitute proof of actual receipt.

b. The Participant shall additionally receive an SMS at the end of the Answer Period stating “Thank you for participating in Sonyacha Paus! The Contest has ended, but keep watching Star Pravah to enjoy your favourite shows”.

vi. If the Participant(s) provides an incorrect Answer then his/her Entry (as defined below) shall not be eligible for the Prize.
