Flute Contest For Schools :

** The Raasrang World Flute Festival, in partnership with the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan, offers a unique opportunity for young flutists to win a residency programme under famous flute masters.

** As part of SAANS, a programme for Excellence in Flute Performance and Education, Krishna Prerna Charitable Trust is organizing the 8th International Flute Festival in September. This year, a Flute Contest for schools has been introduced to expose and empower young flutists from Delhi-NCR.

** The following are the details of the Flute Contest (Entry Level): Category A Age Group: 12 yrs and below Interested participants should play Ragas Bhupali or Hansadhwani and the recording should be done in school not exceeding 5 minutes and be sent via YouTube link Category B Age Group: 20 yrs and below

** Interested participants should play Raga Yaman or Bhairavi and the recording should be done in school not exceeding 5 minutes and be sent via YouTube link Links have to be mailed to raasrang@gmail.com with the subject title ‘SAANS School Contest’ (Include the name, age, class and school of the participant)
Important:
1. Ten participants will be selected from each category and will be invited to play for 15minutes each on 22nd September, 2016 at The Lotus Temple, East of Kailash, New Delhi.
2. Winners will be selected on the basis of Swara, Laya, Raagdari, Taiyari and Overall Presentation.
3. Top three finalists in each category will be offered tutelage under famous flute pandits for a month, courtesy of the Raasrang World Flute Festival.

Please note that:
** Judges Pt. Ronu Majumdar and Pt. Chetan Joshi decisions will be final
** All participants will be given certificates of participation
** Finalists in each category at Entry Level will be given Certificates of Merit
** Final Winner in each category will be given an opportunity to perform at the 8th edition of Raasrang World Flute Festival in September 2016.
