Terms & Conditions:
The DK Quiz Online is open to all children in India aged 11–14 years.

Registration:
** To enter the DK Quiz Online, the participant needs to register at https://www.dk.com/uk/. Registration opens on 19 July 2016.
** While registering, students must provide their contact details, including age, location, school and email address to verify eligibility and for notifying the winner.
** If a participant does not have a personal email address, he or she can provide contact details of a parent or guardian.
** The organizers (Dorling Kindersley Publishing Pvt Ltd) will use this information for internal use only and no participant information would be shared with a third party at any given time.
** We will be using the name of the school for processing the results; it will be displayed on the leaderboard for top scorers.
** Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted. Joint submissions will not be entertained.
** Immediate family members of the employees of Dorling Kindersley Publishing Pvt Ltd and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter The DK Quiz Online.

Prizes:
** A winner and a runner-up would be announced at the end of the online quiz. The organizers reserve the right to contact the top scorers to validate the information provided at the time of registration.
** At this point, two top scorers might be asked for some additional information (such as their standard and division) to confirm the details with their school.
** The winners will be notified via email on or before 5 October 2016.
** The winner will be decided on the basis of the highest total score at the end of the competition. In case of a tie, the participant who takes the least time to complete all quizzes would be declared the winner.
** In case of any conflict, the decision of the organizers would be final.
** The top scorers would receive DK books. The prizes will be dispatched within six weeks after the closing date.
** The prizes cannot be exchanged, transferred, and/or redeemed for cash.

Wildcard entry:
** If the winner is from Delhi-NCR, he or she would be given a chance to be a wildcard entry at the preliminary round of the DK School Quiz finale to be held in Delhi on 14 October 2016. He or she would need to get a partner in the same age group to play the preliminary round.
** The winner would have two days to accept or reject the chance to participate as a wildcard entry. In case of no response, the organizers reserve the right to retract the offer and/or forward the same to the next qualifying entry.
** The organizers will not bear any costs or responsibility of the participant(s) travelling to and from the DK Quiz finale venue.
** If a participant qualifies and chooses to take part as a wildcard entry, he or she must have the parents’ or guardian’s permission to participate and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the event (on 14 October 2016).

Giveaways:

** The highest total score after every 5 quizzes will decide the winner.
** All the winners will be announced on the quiz site https://www.dk.com/uk/)/ and will be notified via email.
** Each winner will receive a DK book as the prize. The prize will be dispatched within a week of the announcement.
** The decision of the organizers w.r.t the winners would be final and binding.
** The organizers will not be responsible for any technical glitches and/or network issues.
** In case of any conflict, the decision of the organizers would be final.
