Terms and Conditions:

These terms and conditions comprise the complete agreement between you (“Participant”) and HUL in relation to the Challenge by Pureit in this regard. You understand that the participation in the Challenge via the page www.pureitwater.com and submitting your entry, shall be deemed acceptance of all the terms and conditions herein governing this Challenge, as may be applicable from time to time.

Challenge:
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) agrees to pay Rs. 1 crore to any person who can bring to us any commercially manufactured and marketed in-home UV drinking water treatment unit (water purifier) equal or below of the price of Pureit Classic UV+ in the territory of India subject to the terms and conditions herein, and exceeds the features specified below, which HUL believes only the Pureit’s Classic UV+ water purifier has:

Safety Features:
** Pureit Classic UV+ exceeds the tough germ kill guide standard of USEPA by removing 10 crore viruses and 10 crore bacteria per litre of water (For safe drinking water, USEPA’s germ kill guide standard recommends log 6, log 4, and log 3 reduction of harmful bacteria, viruses & disinfectant resistant parasites respectively.
** With respect to virus, the standard translate into one crore viruses in every litre of water).
** The device submitted by the Participant needs to exceed the Pureit’s Classic UV+’s stringent germ kill standard over the claimed life of the consumable.
** Pureit Classic UV+ has Advanced Alert System which warns you 15 days in advance before your GermKill Kit consumable expires, so that you get it replaced before the GKK life expires and purifier stops working.
** The device submitted by the Participant needs to have Advanced Alert System.
** Pureit Classic UV+ has a mechanical ‘Auto Shut-off’ apparatus. This apparatus automatically shuts off the flow of water when the life of the germ kill processor of its Germ Kill Kit is over and needs replacement to prevent drinking of any unsafe water.
** The device submitted by the Participant needs to have Auto-Shut off system.
** Pureit Classic UV + has Advanced 5 stage purification system which removes parasites and metals. The device submitted by the Participant should have 5 stage purification system which removes parasites and metals.

Eligibility to Participate:
** The Challenge is open to any Indian adult citizen or corporate body registered under the laws of India who has either purchased and / or who commercially manufactures in India, an in-home UV water purifier respectively, having all four safety features, offered by Pureit.
** No employee, agent of Hindustan Unilever Limited, or its affiliate companies, including of the Unilever Group of Companies shall be entitled to participate in the challenge.

Eligibility of Device
Commercially Manufactured and Marketed in India shall include:
** Only those UV purifiers which are manufactured and marketed commercially in India shall be entitled for participation in this Challenge. No imported purifiers shall be eligible to participate in this Challenge.
** To participate in this challenge, the in-home UV water purifier should have commercially launched and marketed on or before 1st January, 2016.
** Water purifier brands with regional & national presence in multiple states will be eligible.

General Terms:
** The Challenge starts on 1st June, 2016 at 12:00 PM and ends on 31st, October 2016 at 5:00 PM.
** Pureit will pay only one Challenge prize of Rs. One (1) crore only after deduction of applicable taxes. The prize amount shall be given to the First Valid Participant i.e. claimant, if any, and the Challenge shall cease to exist thereafter.
** The results of the challenge and the name of the successful Winner if any shall be announced within three months from the date of submission of the challenge by the Participant.
** The winnings i.e. the amount Rs. One (1) Crore from HUL shall be provided to you after deduction of applicable charges and taxes and shall be borne by the claimant.
** Hindustan Unilever Limited disclaims all warranties with respect to any defects or deficiency in the network, connectivity or information technology infrastructure involved in the process of Challenge.
** If the claims received are lost due to any IT issue or otherwise, Hindustan Unilever Limited shall not be held responsible.
** Incomplete entries will be automatically disqualified.
