All participants are required to carry valid photo ID of the institution along to the venue and produce the same on demand. Photo IDs like PAN card, Voter ID, etc are not valid IDs for the purposes of this quiz

About LIC Diamond Jubilee Quiz:
The LIC Diamond Jubilee Quiz is going across the length and breadth of India to find the smartest, sharpest, and speediest minds through a quiz contest that will explore our mahaan Bharat in a way that has not been seen before. We will travel from the north to the east, the west to the south, winding up in the centre to culminate our knowledge quest with a grand national finale.

Eligibility:
** The LIC Diamond Jubilee Quiz invites participation from college students – undergraduate as well as postgraduate – from every recognized college or university in India. An institution may be represented by as many teams as they like but only one team per institution will be selected for the City Final.
** A team must comprise two (2) students from the same institution. They may be pursuing different courses and may be in different years of study but they must be enrolled in the same institution. Single member teams will not be entertained.

Grand Prizes :
The prizes will be fantastic to begin with and will increase in awesomeness as the contest builds up. The winning team of the National Finale will win a brilliant trophy, a snazzy certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 4 lakh! To top this, the college represented by the winning team will also receive a cash grant of Rs 1 lakh from LIC. At every stage, winners will receive cash prizes, certificates and mementos.

Quiz Format :

The quiz in each city would comprise two parts. The first would be a written preliminary test featuring 25 questions. These would be a mix of multiple choice questions, plain text questions, and visual questions. One of the questions would be a ‘Maha–Connect’, which would link some of the other questions/answers that precede it.

The written test will be followed by a final on stage with the 4 top–scoring teams.

The final would have 3 rounds, as per the following formats:
Round 1: Need For Speed
Each team starts its campaign to win the title of City Champs in a high–powered speed round. They have 30 seconds to answer 8 questions, covering every aspect of life, human endeavour, and the world. Each question is worth 20 points for a correct answer, –10 for an incorrect answer, and 0 for a pass.

Round 2: Meri Marzee
This is a ‘choose your subject’ round. A grid is shown on screen with 9 subjects. Teams choose a subject they want to be quizzed on, and get a set of 3 questions on that topic. Each question is worth 20 points; if they get all 3 correct, they get a bonus of 40 points! Subjects change in every city to keep the round fresh.

Round 3: The Power of 60
This is an exciting buzzer round. Teams get 60 seconds to answer as many questions as they can, on the buzzer. A high–octane, hyper–speed round that will either bring the house to its knees, or lift up the City Champion on its shoulders, this round will focus on the past 60 years: the life span of LIC. Each correct answer will win a team 20 points, while a wrong one will cost it 10
