MyStory Contest Voting:
Read your (short) work of literature at the Seventh edition of the International Mumbai Literary Festival. Entry has closed now. Total entries 1849 . Voting starts from 26th September & ends on 2nd Otober 2016
Awards:
Poet Laureate Award:
** Poetry is often believed to be the highest form of literature. Where a picture can convey a thousand words, a poem can evoke a thousand pictures. TATA Literature Live’s Poet Laureate Award is our effort to honour the work of some of today’s most accomplished and signifcant poets.
** Vikram Seth, a master of the craft, received this award at the festival’s 2015 edition, regaling the audience with an intimate rendition of his work thereafter.
Lifetime Achievement Award:
** What we know as ‘literature’ is the combined effort of some of the greatest writers across the world. Recognising these laureates, the Landmark Literature Live! Lifetime Achievement Award was instituted to celebrate and salute outstanding contribution to the Indian literary space.
** In previous years, the award has been won by VS Naipaul, Mahashweta Devi, Khushwant Singh and MT Vasudevan Nair. Celebrated bi-lingual author Kiran Nagarkar is the most recent recipient of the award.
Business Book Award:
** Exploring the intersection between two seemingly oppposite worlds, business writing has slowly but surely grown into a strong niche of its own. The Tata Literature Live! Business Book Award honors the best business writing in the Indian space.
** Mihir Sharma and TT Ram Mohan both tied for this award for their books ‘Restart: The last chance for the Indian economy’ and ‘Rethinc: What’s Broke at Today’s Corporations and How to Fix It’ respectively in 2015.

The Big Little Book Award:
The Parag initiative of Tata Trusts in partnership with LiteratureLive! The Mumbai Litfest this month launched and are inviting nominations for the Big Little Book Award that will recognize and award significant contribution to children’s literature by an author and an illustrator. The language for authors will rotate every year, beginning with Marathi for 2016. The idea is to encourage writing in Indian languages.
