World Space Week (WSW) is the largest public space event on Earth being celebrated by more than 65 Nations 4th to 10th October every year, since 1999 under the declaration of United Nations.

When is World Space Week?:
The start and end dates of World Space Week each year commemorate the launch of the first human made Earth satellite Sputnik 1 (October 4, 1957) and the signing of the international space treaty Outer Space Treaty by United Nations (October, 10 1967)

Rules:
1. One school may nominate 2 students of appropriate standard for Coloring/ Sketching/Drawing/Model making contests and one team of two students for Space Quiz/Remote Sensing Workshop /Antakshri/Skit. Schools may send other students to visit the exhibition and encourage their classmates during the events.
2. The number of participants in each contest is limited. If more contestants are appearing then an elimination round will be held to select final participants.
3. For Remote Sensing workshop and skit, the participants have to prepare a small presentation on any topic from Remote Sensing and present the same.
4. Model Making Kit will be provided for model making contest. You have to remove the individual elements from the kit, glue them together and make a nice model in given time.
5. For registration, please send an email with School Name, Contact Person in School, Participating Students name, Class/ Age of Students and Participating Events. Email: vsse@sac.isro.gov.in. Please mention Event Name in the Subject of the email. Alternatively you can call 079-26914042 and register.
6. All the contests are meant towards learning and awareness of space programs. Suitable prizes will be given to all participants including winners. Everyone is requested to participate in joyful mood. Any mistake (if any) that may arise will be happily and mutually settled.
7. Participants must bring their ID card.
