All India Lawn Tennis Championship :

17TH ALL INDIA POLICE LAWN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP-2016 AT CHANDIGARH LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION , SECTOR-10, CHANDIGARH FROM 14.11.2016 TO 18.11.2016

Introduction :
All India Police Sports Control Board has entrusted the responsibility for conducting the 17th All India Lawn Tennis Championship, 2016 to Chandigarh Police.

** The joining instructions can also be downloaded from the official website of Chandigarh Police i.e. chandigarhpolice.gov.in
** This year, the championship will be hosted by the Chandigarh Police at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA), Sector-10, Chandigarh from 14.11.2016 to 18.11.2016.
** The competition will be conducted in accordance with the rules laid down by the All India Tennis Association and All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi.

Venue of the Tournament :
** The 17th All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship-2016 shall be held at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) Stadium, Sector-10, Chandigarh w.e.f. 14.11.2016 to 18.11.2016.

** The venue of the Championship, CLTA, Sector-10, Chandigarh, is located in the centre of the city. It has 10 Synthetic (Hard) Courts with playing arrangements for day and night.

**  The Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association is approximately 07 Kms from Chandigarh Railway Station, 08 Kms from Chandigarh Airport and 05 Kms from Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) Chandigarh- 43 and 02 Kms from Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) Chandigarh -17.

Entries :
The participants are required to submit their entry through the prescribed form (Annexure “A”) available online at chandigarhpolice.gov.in. The duly filled forms can be submitted on email ID 17aipltc2016[at]gmail.com.

The entry can also be sent through FAX-0172-2746100 after filling the form and getting it duly attested by the competent authority.

The entry fee shall be submitted alongwith the entry forms in the State bank of India account No. 35859050400 Chandigarh Housing Board, Sector-9, Chandigarh (IFSC Code- SBIN0010604) as per rates prescribed in the entry form.

Details of entry fee are as follows:
(1) Team Championship: Rs. 1200/-
(2) Singles (Open & Veteran per player) : Rs. 400/-
(3) Doubles (Open & Veteran, Per Pair) : Rs. 600/-
(4) Ladies Single/Doubles, if 3 or more entries are received
(5) Doubles for Retired officers, if 3 or more entries are received

Note: All the entries must reach by 25th of October, 2016.

Categories of the matches:
The championship will comprise of the following events:
a. Team events
b. Open Singles
c. Open Doubles
d. Veteran Singles : 50 Yrs age & above.
e. Veteran Doubles : 50 Yrs. age & above
f. Ladies Single/Doubles, if 3 or more entries are received.

g. Doubles for Retired officers, if 3 or more entries are received:
(i) Retired Officers will play among themselves.
(ii) Points will not be calculated for overall championship.
(iii) It will be a show match only.

Opening and Closing Ceremony :
Opening Ceremony will be held on 14th November 2016, (Morning) at 10:00 am at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association Sector-10, Chandigarh.
Closing ceremony will be held on 18th November, 2016 (Afternoon) at 4.00 PM at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association Sec-10, Chandigarh.

Note :
** All the participating teams must bring two flags of size 4 feet X 6feet and 3 feet X 2 feet of their respective organization, which would be required for hoisting and march-past respectively, at the venue during the Game.

** The dress code for both the ceremonies will be in tracksuit for the participants in the march-past. For other officers the dress code recommended is Blue Blazer and Grey Trousers alongwith White Shirt and Tie or Band gala/National dress.
