R.N.Sahay National Legal Essay Competition :
RNSNLEC RULES RULES FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION :
** Interested students shall mail us their basic details in format mentioned below along with the scanned copy of their ID card issued by the concerned College/Institute/University at rnsnlec@gmail.com

– Name of the Participant:
– College/Institute/University:
– Course, Batch & Year:
– Contact No.’s:
– Email:

** On receipt of the above mail, a Unique Submission No. (USN) will be generated & mailed to each individual participant, thereby confirming their registration.

** There is no registration fee for the competition.

RULES FOR SUBMISSION :
** The language of the Essay shall be strictly English
** The word limit for the essay is 3500 – 6000 words (including footnotes).
** Co-authorship/Joint authorship is not allowed.

** All the participants must adhere to the following specification:
– Paper Size: A4
– Font: Times New Roman
– Font Size: 12
– Line Spacing: 1.5
– Footnotes: Font Size 10, Line Spacing 1

** Each participant shall be permitted to submit only one individual entry. Multiple entries by an individual shall lead to disqualification.

** The First Page should be a Separate Page in the beginning of the essay and it must contain the following details:
a. Name of the Participant
b. Name of the Institution
c. Year of Study and Batch
d. Contact Information (e-mail ID and Phone no’s. of participant)

** The Second Page (Cover Page) of the submission should contain the following details only:
– Unique Submission Number (as provided by the Organizers)
– Title of the Essay
– Abstract of the Essay (200-250 words)

** The Cover Page and/or Main Body of the essay should not carry contain any form of identification of the Participant. In any other case, it shall lead to immediate disqualification.

** Format of submission should be as per the rules of the competition.

** The soft copy of the essay should be submitted in MS Word file (.doc/.docx).

** Soft Copy of the Essays must be mailed to the Convener cum Coordinator of the Competition

** The Soft Copy must be accompanied by the scanned copy of duly filled, signed & sealed Registration Form that can be downloaded from our website.

** Each participant shall dispatch 2 hard copies of the same and the original copy of duly filled, signed & sealed Registration Form; to the following address:

** All students are expected to acknowledge the primary source(s) of information.
** Last date of Submission shall be 26th of October, 2015.
** The result for the competition shall be declared on 26th of November, 2015.

GENERAL RULES :
** The competition shall be open to all students pursuing the 3-year or 5-year Law Course from any institution recognised by the Bar Council of India, in India.

** Only original essays will be considered for the Competition. Multiple entries by an individual and/or Plagiarism will result in disqualification. Free plagiarism checks will be provided to authors at http://plagiarism-checker.org/rnsahay.php

** No part of it should have been published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere.

** Any form of Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification of essay (Max. limit 10%). The participants are responsible for the originality of the work and agree to indemnify RRSA & RNSNLEC from and against any claims, suits and damages based on any claim of copyright infringement or plagiarism or unauthorized use.

** If at any point in time it comes to light that an infringement or plagiarism has taken place the certificates issued will be revoked, the prize called back & the said occurrence will be mentioned on the web and through media.

** Footnotes may not be substituted as endnotes, for it shall lead to disqualification.

** In case of a tie, the decision shall be reserved by RRSA & RNSNLEC.

** Each person shall be required to fill the Online Form to obtain his/her USN, and send duly filled-up registration form, available for download on the website.

MISCELLANEOUS RULES:
** Copyright to all the essays sent as entries for this competition shall rest with RRSA and RNSNLEC which reserves the right of publication of the same in any Book, Journal or in any other manner as it may deem appropriate; without providing any royalty or compensation. However, authors shall be given due credit in the by-line.

** RRSA & RNSNLEC, assume no responsibility for lost, delayed or incomplete entries or technical malfunction of.

** Any type of Non Compliance with the Last Dates will result into disqualification without entertaining the request for extension under any circumstances.

** RRSA & RNSNLEC, reserve the absolute right to vary, alter, modify or repeal any of the above mentioned terms/rules if so required and as they deem appropriate and the Organisers decision as regards the interpretation of rules or any other matter related to the competition shall be final & binding.

** If there arises any situation that is not contemplated in the Rules, or any disputes arising in connection with the essay competition; the decision on the same by RRSA & RNSNLEC shall be final and binding
