Delhi State Inter School Shooting Competition 2015 :

Delhi State Rifle Association came into existence in the year 1953. The aim of the association is to cultivate the talent of shooting amongst citizens of Delhi, specially the youth and to provide them a platform to flourish at National and International competition.

The second aim of the association is to train the citizens of Delhi in the use of arms for sports and self defence as necessary means of National defence through proper training and to inculcate a sense of discipline in handling firearms and to develop qualities of fearlessness, patriotism in the spirit of public service.

The association did a treMendous job at the time of Chinese invasion, in the year 1962 by training around 2000 citizens in the use of arms at that crucial time when the nation was going through a crisis.

The association also organises annual State Shooting Championships and Inter School Championship to promote Shooting Sports amongst the youth who have brought laurels to the state by winning medals at National and International arena. The association also selects the team for representing Delhi State in the National Games.

It is the goal of the association to arouse the interest of shooting sport amongst the people by organising and supporting shooting activities periodically and we are sure that the shooters of Delhi will continue to bring laurels to the state and to the nation.

Scheme For Converting Annual Membership To Life Membership :

We Are Pleased To Annouce That Annual Members Have The Option To Get Their Annual Membership Converted Into Life Membership On Payment Of Difference Amount Of Membership Fee. Those Who Are Ineterested Should Submit A Request Letter Alongwith A Copy Of Their Membership Card And Cheque / Demand Draft Of The Difference Amount Of Membership Fee. This Scheme Is Open Till 31St December 2015.

Xxxi Delhi State Shooting Championship 2015 From 3-6 Oct 2015 – :
We are pleased to announce that the XXXI DELHI STATE SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 will be held at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, Tughlakabad, Surajkund Road, New Delhi from 03 – 06 October 2015 as per the program mentioned below.

Terms and Condition :

The competition is open to all members of Delhi State Rifle Association. In addition, Non Members who are permanent residents of Delhi are also permitted to participate and they will be eligible for medal and ranking but they will have to make their own arrangement of weapon and ammunition for practice and match.

Shooters of other states who need to attain Minimum Qualifying Score (MQS) are also permitted to participate as MQS Shooters in N.R. category matches and shooters of other states / Units who wish to participate in I.S.S.F events are permitted to participate as Guest Shooters but both MQS Shooters and Guest Shooters will not be eligible for any ranking or medal and they will have to make their own arrangement for weapon and ammunition.

Guest / MQS Shooters will need to get their Entry Form recommended either from their respective State Rifle Association or National Coaches or by any International level Shooter who would need to mention their mobile number and attach a copy of their NRAI Shooter I.D. as proof of their recommendation.

The competition would be conducted in both N.R and ISSF category matches. Shooters who have earlier participated in any match of ISSF category of a particular event are not permitted to participate in NR category match of that particular event.

The matches will be conducted according to ISSF Rules and NRAI Match Book 2015 however we reserve the right to alter any rule for the smooth conduct of the competition.

Shooters can participate either in Junior Category or in Sub Junior category but not in both, similarly a shooter can participate either in Rifle matches or in Pistol Matches but not in both.

Shooters below the age of 21 years (i.e. born on or after 01-01-1995) and 18 years (i.e. born on or after 01-01-1998) as on 31.12.2015 will be considered as Junior and Youth category shooters respectively. A Self Attested copy of NRAI Shooter I.D. / Municipal Birth Certificate/ Passport must be submitted in case of Junior and Youth.

Youth category shooters can participate in Youth, Junior and Senior category. Junior category shooter can participate in both Junior and Senior category. Shooters aged 60 years or above can participate in the Veteran category.

Finals will not be conducted for any event and there will be no team event matches.

The last date for submission of entry is 27 September 2015 and late entry if any will be accepted till 01.10.2015 on payment of Triple Entry Fee.

The prize distribution ceremony will be held on 06th of October 2015 and the time and venue of the same shall be put up on the notice board during the competition.

The score achieved by shooters in this competition would be considered as qualifying score for participating in the next All India G.V. Mavalankar Shooting Competition / North Zone Shooting Championship.

CERTIFICATES WILL BE ISSUED ONLY TO THOSE SHOOTERS WHO ACHIEVE MINIMUM QUALIFYING SCORE AS PER RULE NO. 1.4 AND 17.6 OF NRAI MATCH BOOK 2015.

On the last day i.e. 06.10.2015 the matches will be conducted only till 3:00 P.M. as we need to finalize the result and organize the Prize Distribution ceremony.

Entry forms complete in all respects must reach any of the following latest by 27 September 2015. Incomplete forms will not be accepted in any case.
