Retro’ Nostalgia :

We are delighted to announce the Retro’ Nostalgia – English Theatre Fest 2016-17, is to be held on 28th January 2017, at Mosrimaa Covention Centre, SSVM World School, Coimbatore. This is going to be an annual event, where in students get an opportunity to showcase their talent to other schools and learn from each other.

The theatre is the only institution in the globe which has been on its last legs for four thousand years and has never succumbed. It requires tough and devoted students to keep it alive. We intently wish that your school students partake and win accolades.
Prominent persons in the field of Literature and theatre would be judging the plays and there are marvelous and incredible prizes to be won.

Please find enclosed the participation form and the rules for the competition. Please send the filled- up participation form to reach the above given address on or before 17th January 2017. We are looking forward for your participation in the great Inter School Theatre Festival. We invite you all to move from the world of thoughts to the arena of action…

Rules:
** Preferably students from classes 6 to 12 may participate in the competition
** Duration of the play should not exceed 15 minutes including the stage preparation.
** Language of the play should be English.
** Last date for the submission of the application form is 17th January 2017.
** Time slot will be drawn on the day of competition at the venue. The teams are to be present in the venue of the competition at 8 A. M.
** Maximum number of student participants: 15 to 20 in a group.
** Only student participants and teacher(s) in charge to be present for the competition. No outsiders or parents will be entertained.
** Lunch and refreshment will not be provided. Respective schools have to arrange for the same.There is no Entry Fee
** The costumes make up and props for the play are to be brought by the teams.Participants would be given a room for changing.
** Prizes will be given for the Best play, Best Actor& Actress, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, Best Attire, Best stage usage, Best Dialogue Delivery, Best Cadence, Best Expression, Best Audience Appeal, Best Entertaining Performance & Best Comic Character.
