FlyTron UAV Competition:
FlyTron is a platform from where Unmanned Aerial Vehicle enthusiasts can show-off their UAV designing skills; where they can compete among the best of the country in this field; where UAV industries and academic institutes come together to realize their vision in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems.

General Rules:
** Participants are required to form team to participate. A team must consist of a maximum of 5 members and one faculty/industry mentor.
** Teams are required to register at the official competition website. (www.flytronpec.in ).Registration fee is 1000 INR per team. The registration fees has to be submitted through paytm. Fee has to be payed at the following mobile number : 9530868613.
** In the comment section (“What is this for?”), write the following format :Flytron: Team “team_name” registration fees. For ex. Flytron: Team “Invincibles” registration fees. Along with this, write the names of the team members along with their contacts and the institute from where the team belongs.
** The event will be held at PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh or any suitable replacement nearby.
** Ready to Run/Fly (RTR/RTF), Bind and Fly (BNF) models and aircraft kits are not permitted.
** Metallic propellers are not allowed.
Evaluation of teams will be on two major elements:
a.Technical report and video submission(20%)
b.Flight Demonstration (80%)
1.Stage-I (30%)
2.Stage-II (50%)
The flight demonstration comprises of two stages:
a. Stage-I and stage-II. Stage-I where challenges the flying skills and questions the basic maneuverability of vehicle, Stage-II requires the vehicle to accomplish some tasks autonomously.
b. Detailed rules concerning each stage can be referred separately below.
** Minor changes in rules and arena may be done later at the discretion of panel of judges/organizing committee. Any such change will be update to the competition website, thus teams are advised to regularly visit the website.
** Judges decision will be final and binding on all teams.
** The vehicle shall automatically terminate flight after loss of transmit signal for more than 30 second.
** Vehicle must have capability to switch between manual and autonomous flight if and when required
** Any vehicle appearing uncontrolled or moving beyond the no fly boundary shall be subject to immediate manual override. Failure of manual override will result in flight termination.
** At no point during flight the vehicle must go beyond 60 meters in height.
Hardware support to be provided to teams include:
** Cubicles or space to assemble the vehicle.
** Power source for charging.
** Laptop with prior intimation.
The vehicle must have the capability to operate in fog.

** Registration starts- Registration open now
** Closing date of registration and fee payment-31st January, 2017
** Date of report and video submission-07th February, 2017
** Date of competition-25th and 26th February, 2017
