Who Should Apply:
If you and your team is working on an early stage start-up and have atleast built a working prototype for your idea – and are now seeking early stage funds and community validation to help you catapooolt to the next stage. We are open to ideas across all startup domains – as long as you have build the initial business prototype/site/model
How to Apply and the Contest Process:
** You will be required to fill up the application process – as directed by the application link.
** The first step of the Contest is crowdfunding for your idea. Hence, the form will require you to share following primary details:
** Details on the startup, idea and team
** A presentation Deck on the startup and what support you want to move to next stage.
** A video pitch – anything between 1 minute to upto 2 minutes – trying to best capture what your idea is about, to reflect your passion to make it big and why should communities and investors trust & invest in you
** Rewards: Crowdfunding normally works on the principles of rewards (since you are not required to offer any financial returns to contributors at this stage).
** So the total contribution budget may be broken down into various amount bands (say INR 500, 100, 5000 etc.) and you may decide to corroborate a reward with each contribution slab.
** These rewards could be either the product or service itself or some other ways where you feel that you may excite or make your potential contributors engage with you
** Once you have filled up basic details and paid the application fees – our team will review the details and come back to you and will help to onboard your project.
** Once the project is onboarded – you will have upto 45 days (maximum upto February 27, 2017) to raise crowdfunding for your idea:
** The optimal budget that you should attempt raising is INR 50,000/-. The minimal limit is INR 20,000/-.
** Our team will share crowdfunding tips with you from time to time to help you plan the campaign and succeed.
** Post the crowdfunding campaign – our Jury – comprising eminent mentors, Innovation Champions and Investors – will select top 40 start-ups – basis the crowdfunding amount raised and disruption potential that they see in your idea
** We would then be allocating a mentor each to these 40 start-ups – who would be working closely with you to now improvise on your pitch and your overall business plan – and thus preparing you for the Grand Finale
** At the Grand Finale – you will thus be pitching your idea to some of country’s best angel investors and thus reaching out to them to finally get your idea to the big league!
