Essay Competition 2015 :
A teacher has a great influence in shaping the life of an individual, and every successful individual always remembers the constructive role played by his/her teacher in their school-college days. According to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, there are three key societal members who can make a difference in making the country corruption free – the father, the mother and the teacher. Teachers’ Day is that momentous event where we engage in unbridled capacity to shower our love, adoration and respect to our teachers, the harbingers of knowledge light in our lives. To celebrate this bonding of Teachers-Students and as a mark of respect to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, SDMIMD presents – Essay Competition 2015, as an endevour to promote expression and creativity among college students.

Theme : YOUR UNFORGETTABLE TEACHER

General rules and guidelines:
Essays may be submitted by any Indian pursuing Graduation or Post- Graduation in any discipline.
Essays must be 500 words or less in English.
Only one essay per entrant is allowed.
The entries should be original and unpublished. All entries would undergo plagiarism check.

Submission and Last Date:
Electronic submission at https://www.sdmimd.ac.in/
On or before October 10, 2015

Results:
Short listed essays meeting the competition’s rules and guidelines would be uploaded to sdmimd.ac.in/essay/shortlisted and would be accessible for public viewing between October 11-14, 2015.
For the final evaluation, besides originality and quality of the essay, the online response received from the public (in the form of likes, shares etc) would also be factored.
The winners will be announced on October 15, 2015 on the competition’s webpage – sdmimd.ac.in/essay
