RBI announces Inter-Bank Hindi Essay Competition 2015-16 :
The Reserve Bank of India today announced subjects for its Inter Bank Hindi Essay Competition 2015-2016.
Last date for submission of the essay is November 16, 2015 (Monday).
With a view to encouraging original writing in Hindi on banking subjects, the Reserve Bank conducts Inter-Bank Hindi Essay Competition every year. Employees, except Rajbhasha officers and translators, of all public sector banks (including Regional Rural Banks sponsored by them), financial institutions and Reserve Bank of India are eligible to participate.
The competition is conducted separately for the participants whose mother tongue is: (i) Hindi; (ii) Marathi, Punjabi and Gujarati and (iii) other than those mentioned in (i) and (ii). Three prizes – in the form of cash awards of Rs.11000, Rs.7000 and Rs.5000, respectively, for first second and third prize – are awarded in each category.
Participants may send the essay – of about 3000 to 4000 words and indicating their mother tongue on it – on any one of the three subjects to:

The rules for the competition are given in Annex ‘A’. The format of the certificate stating that the essay is original and not sent elsewhere for award or publication to be submitted by the participating officers/employees is in Annex ‘B’.
