Logo & Slogan Design Contest :
Govt. of India has approved ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan’ (PMGDISHA). The main objective of the programme is to make Six Crore persons in rural areas, across States/UTs, digitally literate, reaching to around 40% of rural households by covering one member from every eligible household.

The proposal seeks inputs to design a Logo and Slogan under the Scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan’. The last date of submission is 29th May, 2017. The winning entry will be awarded with a prize equivalent to Rs. 50,000/- for Logo and Rs. 50,000/- for Slogan. Top three short listed entries will also receive certificates.
Background of PMGDISHA:
“Digital Literacy is the ability of individuals and communities to understand and use digital technologies for meaningful actions within life situations”. Making one person in every household digitally literate is one of the integral components of the Prime Minister Vision of “Digital India”.
The PMGDISHA scheme envisage to provide digital literacy training to Six Crore persons in rural areas, across State/ UT of the country. The Scheme is being implemented in each State/ UT.
Also, to ensure equitable geographical reach, each of the 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats would be expected to register an average of 200-300 candidates. Special focus would be on training the beneficiaries on use of Electronic Payment System.
The outcome measurement criteria would include undertaking at least 5 electronic payments transactions by each beneficiary using UPI (including BHIM app) and USSD. Universities/Colleges would be engaged for carrying out Social Audit of the scheme through their students.
The digital literacy training of beneficiary would enable them to:
** Operate computers/digital access devices (like tablets, smart phones, etc.),
** Send and receive emails, browse internet, access Government Services,
** Search for information
** Undertake cashless transactions using mobiles
Outcome of the Scheme:
The Scheme would empower the citizens from rural India in:
** Bridging the digital divide leading to digital inclusion
** Providing digital skills
** Preparing them to become a part of digital economy
Terms and Conditions :
i. The competition is open to Indian citizens only.
ii. Entries should reflect involvement of mobile phones, tablets, laptops etc with respect to digital literacy and cashless transactions.
iii. All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/ mode would not be considered for evaluation.
iv. The participant must be the same person who has designed/created the logo/slogan and plagiarism would not be allowed.
v. The logo design and slogan must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
vi. The artwork must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
vii. The winning design of the logo & slogan will be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the designer cannot exercise any right over it.
prize winning logo is meant to be used by Government of India for promotional and display purposes, IEC material and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate for the initiative ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan’.
viii. All the entries received will be evaluated by a Screening Committee and the top 20 Entries will be placed in front of a Selection Committee for final selection.
ix. An undertaking by the participant has to be submitted stating the right to submit the logo to the competition. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright will be disqualified from the competition. Government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants

xi. Multiple entries by the same participant will not be considered.
xii. Employees of CSC-SPV or their relatives would not be eligible to participate.
