Microsoft Imagine Cup Competition
Microsoft is motivating students to use their imagination and passion to create a technology solution in a challenge. If you’ve got a great idea, assemble a great team and work hard to bring that idea to life.

Your project could be on devices all over the world, changing lives and giving people the thrill of seeing the future come to life right before their eyes.
All the candidates are requested to apply through prescribed format latest by May 31.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational qualification:
** All the candidates interested in applying should be either enrolled in high school or college or any equivalent institute.
** In case of a minor, parents’ or guardian’s permission is mandatory prior to submission of entry into this competition.
Other conditions:
** The candidate should not be an employee or intern of Microsoft Corporation, or subsidiary
** The candidate must not be involved in any kind of execution or administration of this competition
** Candidate must not be an immediate family member of (parent, sibling, spouse/domestic partner, and child) or household member of a Microsoft employee, an employee of a Microsoft subsidiary, or a person involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Competition.
Age limit:
All the candidates should be minimum 16 years of age.
Scholarship Reward:
The winner gets USD 100,000 and mentorship opportunities with industry leaders, an Azure grant and cash.

About the scholarship:
The Imagine Cup has been the world’s premier student technology competition. The Imagine Cup is a skill-based Competition. Open to students around the world, that seeks to honor the most innovative, ground-breaking and appealing software built with Microsoft tools and technology.
PRIZES :
Round 1:
Each National Final competition may offer prizes at the discretion of the local Microsoft subsidiary operating that competition. The existence, nature, and conditions of such prizes are subject to the rules of each National Final. Every team who advances to round 2 will receive a trip to the Imagine Cup 2017 Worldwide Finals.
Trip includes round trip coach airfare from a major airport closest to each competitor’s home, standard hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and select meals during the World Finals. Mentors to the team are not eligible for this travel prize.
Round 2:
At the World Finals, the top three teams in the Competition will receive the following prizes. At least one member of the team must be present to win. (Mentors and associates will not be awarded any portion of the monetary prize winnings.)
First Place:
** $100,000 USD, to be divided equally among each officially registered member of the Team
** $125,000 USD in credits toward one Microsoft Azure subscription
** Remote mentoring session with Satya Nadella
** A trip for the winning team to attend the Microsoft Build 2018 conference. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $15,000 USD. Trip Includes:
– Round trip coach airfare from major airport closest to winner’s home
– Standard hotel accommodations
– Transportation to/from airport/hotel
Second Place:
** $25,000 USD, to be divided equally among each officially registered member of the Team
** $25,000 USD in credits toward one Microsoft Azure subscription
Third Place:
** $15,000 USD, to be divided equally among each officially registered member of the Team
** $25,000 USD in credits toward one Microsoft Azure subscription
All prizes are stated in U.S. dollars, but we, or our local subsidiary or designated agent (on our behalf), may actually award a cash prize in the official currency of the winner’s country of residence based on the exchange rate on the date of payment.
Unless otherwise indicated in the specific Competition rules, all cash prizes will be divided equally among all officially registered members of a Team.
