Term:
16th Girimitra Photography Competition begins on 5th of May 2017 at 12:00 am and ends on 30th June 2017, at 11.59 pm (IST). By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest.

Who may enter?:
Any Indian citizen may participate in this photography competition. (Entry is open for all and the contestants are not Required to attend Girimitra Sammelan)

Note:
Winners will get entry pass only for attending photography competition award ceremony. If he/she desires to attend the entire Girimitra Sammelan then he/she has to purchase Girimitra Sammelan’s entry coupon on his/her own.

Theme:
** Mountain Landscape Photography.
** Mountain should be an integral part of the landscape.
** Mountain Landscape Photographs featuring any Nature, Aerial view, Night sky,
** Milky way, Waterfall, Sunset/sunrise, Abstract etc. clicked in Indian subcontinent will be accepted.
** Please submit photographs on-line to our email ID.
** Hard copies of the images will not be accepted.

Rules & Regulations:
1. HDR, panorama images are accepted.
2. Maximum of 4 entries can be submitted by each participant.
3. Only digital entries will be accepted. Prints and slides are ineligible.
4. All the images should be numbered and the specific caption should be filled-in, in the entry form against the number. Please do not give any caption to images.
5. All the entries sent for this exhibition must be original work of the entrants. He / She should keep ready RAW image / Exif data etc. if asked by Judges.
6. Minor editing like Cropping, Setting levels, Sharpening, Saturation, Color Correction etc. are acceptable. Digitally manipulated (Created, Stamping, Cloning etc.) images are not eligible for this exhibition.
7. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Scanned Photographs must be in a .jpeg or.jpg format
8. Girimitra Sammelan reserves the right to reproduce / use accepted entries for Catalogue Printing, Press Publicity, Web Publicity etc.
9. Submission of entries implies acceptance of rules of the competition. Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
10. Girimitra Sammelan reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify and / or remove any Entry that does not comply with the competition rules.

Format Guidelines:
** Actual Size JPEG with 300 ppi
** Embedded sRGB colour space
** No watermarking or digital mattes.
** Photographer’s name should not be visible on images (every effort is made to judge entries based solely on the image and without distractions)
** Captions or text should be provided in the entry form only
** Borders are not allowed.

How to enter:
1. Each entry consists of a duly filled entry form and the images as attachments.
2. Complete the entry form with the required information, including your name, address, telephone number, email address and respective photo captions.
3. Image File name must be category wise: L 1 / L 2 / L3 / L4
4. Subject of the email should be: Entry for Photography Competition – 16th Girimitra Sammelan Photography Competition 2017. Please recheck, all images and entry form is attached. All entries should in a single mail.
5. You will receive an acknowledgement from the team.
6. Please save it carefully.

Judging:
1. Judging will be conducted by renowned photographers in the relevant fields.
2. Winning photographs will be published in the 16th Girimitra Sammelan souvenir as per the availability of space.
3. Decisions of the judges will be final.
4. Final entries will be exhibited as per the availability of space at the venue.

5. There will be Three Awards (Cash Prize):
1st Prize : Rs 3,000/-
2nd Prize : Rs 2,000/-
3rd Prize : Rs 1,000/-
