BSE International Finance Olympiad :

BIFO is the BSE International Finance Olympiad whose goal is to promote the advancement, discovery, learning ,and application of commerce and finance.

The Olympiad is designed to encourage students to explore, discover, and learn more about financial world and to develop analytical and problem solving skills that will be essential to their career.

BSE Institute Limited (BIL) and Eduheal Foundation (EHF) have mutually agreed to work together to create awareness and provide education and skills to students and learners in India and abroad by organizing educational events.

Eligibility :
Students currently studying in Class IX, X , XI and XII. BIFO will target students interested in Economics, Entrepreneurship, Accountancy and Business Studies. However BIFO is open to students of other streams also.

Level 1: School
The exam will be pen paper (OMR) based multiple choice questions on the given syllabus. To be conducted in your school. 50 MCQs to be solved in 60 minutes. Syllabus for the event will be from CBSE, ICSE, State Boards.

Questions will be from Economics and Financial literacy (Devised by CBSE) for classes 9th and 10th; Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship and Financial literacy for classes 11th and 12th. Few questions from General Knowledge and Mental Aptitude will also be asked.

Date of Exam : 5th Dec.
Last date of registration : 15th Aug. or 30 days before the exam.

Level 2: National
Selected students – Successful school toppers* will participate in an online/ computer based test to be conducted at exam centres all over India in Feburary. These tests may have interactive questions.

The Syllabus will be same as was in level-1. The medium of the Olympiad will be in English language. Finally, 108 selected students will be invited to BSE Mumbai for final quiz.

Level 3: Quiz Finals
108 Merit students from all over India will attend quiz finals at BSE convention centre, Mumbai on 10th April, next year. This event is expected to be widely broadcasted in the media.

Finally 108 students will emerge as national 1st, 2nd and 3rd rankers of the 2nd International finance olympiad sponsored by BSE Investors’ Protection Fund. On 6th April, Prize distribution ceremony will be organized jointly by BSE Institute Ltd. and EHF at the BSE Convention centre, Mumbai.

Student Award :
Top 3 students from each of the classes 9th to 12th, from each of 1 the nine zones will win a cash award of Rs.12,000, 10,000 and 8,000 respectively and a medal. Total 108 students will be awarded.
