IT Olympiad is the biggest online I.T. Olympiad in India. An event on ICT (Information and Communications Technology), it covers topics ranging from information technology to free and open source software and myriad topics in between.

Mode of Exam and Track:
The Olympiad this year will be online,

Online Track :
For schools and Junior Colleges with Computer and Internet connection

Eligibility:
** All schools/ junior colleges those are recognized by the state and central education boards and also International boards can participate.
** You can register through our website www.itolympaid.in.
** Please identify a contest coordinator and share the details with us. This will be helpful for a smooth co-ordination.
** If you do not have an Internet connection, please contact our area coordinator for the registration procedure and other details.
** Schools where Internet is not available can register themselves and their students by contacting our area coordinator.

Categories:
There are two categories, namely

Cubs Category : For Students of Std. VI,VII,VIII and IX
Lions Category : For Students of Std. X,XI and XII

Competition Dates :
The Contest is divided into two rounds

First Stage:
** School Registration Dates: 1st January to 15th August 2017
** Student Registration Dates :1st January to 15th August 2017
** First Round Examination Dates: 15st September to 10th October 2017
** First Round Result Declaration Date : 15th October 2017
** Final round of exam: 1st November to 20th November 2017

Final Stage:
Grand Award Ceremony (to be held in the MCE Society’s P.A.Inamdar College of Visual Effects, Design & Arts, Azam Campus, Pune) : 2nd December 2017

Common Rules:
** The contest is governed by the rules set by the governing body of IT Olympiad 2016.
** Participating schools/ junior colleges must abide by the code of conduct set by the governing body of IT Olympiad 2016., failing which they may be disqualified from the contest at any time without prior notice.
** The governing body may substitute prizes, amend the rules or discontinue the contest at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof.
** The governing body does not take any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the contest.
** All entries become the sole property of the governing body and shall not be returned to the either the participating schools or its participating students under any circumstances.
** The governing body shall not be responsible for the outcome of any occurrences outside its control like power failure, slow Internet speeds etc during the contests.
** Data such as contact numbers, emails etc are the sole property of the Olympiad committee, its members, affiliates, sponsors or any third party associate which the latter can use, for marketing and promotional purposes.
