About Robotsavam :
Truly analogous to the traditional Kalotsavam (festival of kala – arts), the Robotsavam (festival of robots) targets all those who are keen on learning more about the field of robotics. The Robotsavam 2017 is designed to be a perfect blend of fun, competition and learning.

Participants get a chance to work on the applications of theories that they have learnt in class and even work on concepts they’re learning for the first time. Being the first tech-fest in India that is only for robotics and its applications, we hope to set an example for all the other tech-fests.

This is truly one-of-a-kind with a repertoire of events ranging from traditional classes to robowars to drone races. Also, the participants will get an opportunity to learn how to professionally present a paper which will prove invaluable in their future endeavours.

What is Robotsavam?
Robotsavam is the first ever Indian technical fest exclusively for Robotics organized by IEEE Student Branch, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and hosted at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus.

How does Robotsavam differ from other tech fests?
Commonly, tech-fests have multiple events based on various topics covering a wide range of subjects ranging from AutoCAD Designing to Ethical Hacking. But here, at Robotsavam, we have events centered around only one subject – Robotics.

We will be having workshops and competitions based on the technologies associated with robotics (Machine Learning, Haptic Feedback, etc), applications of robotics (drones, autonomous vehicles, etc) and such. The only exception to this “Robotics only” approach are the fun events like paintball and gaming to help you relax and enjoy!

Can I participate?
The Fest is open for all students.

What can I gain from attending this tech-fest?
In this world where robotics is becoming more and more a part of our daily life, knowing how it works and how it can be modelled for your specific use-case can turn out to be a big advantage! Even something you got interested into as a hobby can turn into your career. We hope to make that decision easier in case robotics is your hobby.

What about my food? And where do I stay?
Don’t worry, we won’t let you starve! We’ll provide you with 3 square meals a day and there’ll be tea breaks too. And we’ll give you space under our roof to sleep. So, no worries there too…

How many events can I be a part of?
As of now, all those events whose times don’t clash with each other! (Well, unless you have a Time-Turner that is and the last time we checked the Ministry of Magic still listed it as illegal).

Can I attend Robotsavam just for the fun events (gaming, paintball, etc)?
a) Is that possible?
Yes. It’s definitely possible! There’ll be no compulsion to sign up for any of the workshops or competitions!

b) Is it recommended?
Nope. Not a chance! Since you’re coming all the way here, why waste the opportunity to learn something new?
