Being Your Lawyer has brought to you the 1st BYL National Essay Writing Competition on “TRAI, Net Neutrality and Free Data: Legal Implications”.

Submission Guidelines :
Word Limit: Should not exceed 4,000 words
Topic- “TRAI, Net Neutrality and Free Data : Legal Implications”
Send submissions to- “bylcontact@gmail.com”
File Name- It should only contain your name along with your co-author (if any)
Subject- Send your writings at bylcontact@gmail.com with the subject- “Entry for the BYL EWC”
Cover Page- The Cover Page of your writing shall consist the profile of author and co-author (separately, if any) – That includes “Name, University, Roll No., Current pursuing year and the Title of your writing).

Formatting specifications :
a. Font type and size for essay: Times New Roman | 12
b. Size for footnotes: 10
c. Line spacing for essay: 1.5
Uniform citation should be followed throughout the essay.

Eligibility :
The competition is open to LL.B. and LLM students studying in any of the recognized Law Schools/ Colleges/ Departments of the Universities.

Miscellaneous Rules :
1) The copyright for all entries shall vest with the organisers who herewith reserve the right to modify, postpone or defer the competition and its adjudication indefinitely as and when exigencies of an unforeseen nature may arise.

2) Any attempt, direct or indirect, to contact the panel of judges will be met with immediate disqualification of the relevant entry.

Participation Guidelines :
Co-authorship is permitted, subjected to a limit of maximum two authors per submission. Multiple entries for individual authors are not allowed.

Important Dates :
The last date to register is July 5th, 2017
The last date for submission of soft copies is July 31st, 2017.
The results will be declared on August 15th, 2017

Registration :
For Single Author- INR 800/- and
For Co-authors- INR 800/- each (INR 1600/- for both)*
Please Note- Payment of the Registration Fees shall be done online, through the website of Being Your Lawyer (beingyourlawyer.com) only. Also, the registration shall be confirmed only after the successful acknowledgement of the Registration Fees by the organizers.

Prizes :
Winner- INR 5,000
First Runner up- INR 2,000
Second Runner up- INR 1,000

The writings of the winners will also be published at The BYL Blogs with special mention.
