Inter College Debate Competition-2015

“EXPEDIENCY OF REVIEWING THE EXISTING RESERVATION POLICY”

Venue: IITM Auditorium
Rules and Regulations :
No registration fee for the participants.
There will be one team from each institute comprising of two members- one speaking For the Motion and the other Against the Motion.
A panel of eminent judges shall judge the competition. In case of any dispute the decision of the judges would be final.
Each speaker will be allowed to express his or her views for 3+1 minutes followed by an interjection from the audience. No cross questioning is allowed.
The speaker will be evaluated on the criteria of content, diction, eloquence, body language and confidence level.
The winning team will be awarded running trophy along with a cash prize of Rs.1000. The individual participants will be given certificates.
The best speaker will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 500 and a certificate.
Participation Certificates shall be given to all the participants.
The winning institute shall have to give an undertaking to return the trophy by the first week of April, 2016.
Programme Schedule :
09:15 – 10:15 a.m. – Registration
10:30 a.m. – Lighting of Lamp by the Judges.
10:35 a.m. – Saraswati Vandana.
10:40 a.m. – Welcome Address.
10:55 a.m. – Commencement of Inter-College Debate Competition 2015.
02:05 p.m. – Declaration of Results, Presentation of the Individual prizes and the Running Trophy to the Winners.
02:10 p.m. – Vote of Thanks.
02:15 p.m. – National Anthem.
02:20 p.m. – Lunch.
