Logo Design Contest for Doordarshan :

Doordarshan (often abbreviated “DD” and in Hindi) is the Television Wing of Prasar Bharati, India’s Public Service Broadcaster, which is one of the largest broadcasting organizations in the world.

Doordarshan logo over the years has inspired deep nostalgia of an era when the public broadcaster was the only television channel of the country. With the opening up of Television market to private channels, a whole generation of youth need to connect and identify with DD.

In order to engage with India’s youth and to get a mindshare for DD brand within the current generation, DD is seeking a new logo design.

The new logo while recalling the strong nostalgia associated with the DD brand, should reflect the aspirations of new India.

DOORDARSHAN (DD) invites all Indian Nationals to participate in designing a new logo for the flagship Doordarshan Brand. The Logo shall comprise of an attractive design depicting Doordarshan.

Prize – Rs.1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only)

Terms & Conditions :
** The Contest is open to all Indians from India or abroad. Registered Organizations under relevant Indian laws are also eligible to participate.
** Only one entry shall be permitted per individual or organization.
** All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/ mode will not be considered for evaluation.
** The winning design of logo(s) would be the intellectual property of Doordarshan, a division of Prasar Bharati.
** The winner(s) cannot exercise any right over it, after the acceptance of the prize.
** The prize winning logo(s) is/can be used by Doordarshan for promotional and display purposes at freewill at any platform including but not limited to satellite, terrestrial, cable or digitals platform.

** Doordarshan / Prasar Bharati / Ministry of Information & Broadcasting will have unfettered right to modify the prize winning logo(s) and add or delete any information or design feature in any form to it.

** Plagiarism of any nature would not be allowed.
** The logo design must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
** Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition.
** Employees of Doordarshan / Prasar Bharati / Ministry of Information & Broadcasting as well as their family members are not allowed to take part in this Contest.
** Participant(s) is/are required to ensure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since Doordarshan would be using this for further communication.
** This includes details such as name, photo and phone number.
** Entries with incomplete profiles will not be considered.
** Doordarshan reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this Contest and/ or Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria.
** However, any changes to the Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or the cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform.
** It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep them informed to any changes in the Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.
