My Panaji, Smart Panaji Essay Writing Competition 2015:
All School Children and Citizens are invited to participate in the Essay Writing Competition for Smart City Panaji. The title for the essay competition is “My Panaji, Smart Panaji”.

Your essay must have the following Ideation areas:
** Describe a ‘Smart’ idea that you have seen or heard or would like to see replicated or implemented in Panaji. ‘Smart idea’ can help achieve more with less.
** Describe three ways in which Panaji can reduce the gap between rich and poor.
** List out five essential facilities provided by The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) or other agencies that have the highest potential to make Panaji a Smart city. These sectors can be water, transport, employment, etc.

The length of each answer is limited to 1000 words or less.

There are two categories of Essay Competition;
(a) School student (10-17 yrs of age)
(b) Citizens (above 18 yrs of age)

The submissions will be evaluated on the basis of Do-ability (20%) and Innovation (30%) and potential for uptake under the Smart Cities proposal (50%).

Award amount for the School Students category are as follows;
a) First Prize – Cash Incentive of Rs. 25,000
b) Second Prize – Cash Incentive of Rs. 20,000
c) Third Prize – Cash Incentive of Rs. 15,000

Award amount for the Common Citizens category are as follows:
a) First Prize: Cash Incentive of Rs. 5,000
b) Second Prize: Cash Incentive of Rs. 3,000
c) Third Prize: Cash Incentive of Rs. 2,000

Essay has to be submitted online on the www.mygov.in portal.
