Photo Marathon Contest :

1. The photo marathon contest (“contest”) is organized by Canon India Private Limited (“Canon India”) is open to citizens of India who are 18 years and above. Any person willing to participate in the Photo Marathon will have to fill out the registration form available at edge.canon.co.in/photomarathon2017.

The registration entails a fee of Rs. 500 per registration. The following charges will be applicable on online payment

Transaction Processing Fee :
** 2.66%* of the customer payment amount through Visa/Master Credit Card & Internet Banking Options#.
** 1.50%* of the customer payment amount through Visa/Master Debit Card#.
** 4.13%* of the customer payment amount through Amex & Diners Card#.
** 2.66%* of the customer payment amount for international card acceptance#.
** 2.66%* of customer payment amount for Netbanking#
*Subject to approval from respective gateway & banks. Minimum amount Rs. 11.80
#GST is applicable on all transaction processing fee.

The registered participants would be given two themes on the spot (one by one) on the date of the contest. The participants will have to click the photographs according to the theme at the venue and submit the same with Canon India representatives at the venue itself.

2. In order to be eligible for the Photo contest, the photograph taken should be digital and capable of being transferred to a computer. Canon India shall not be responsible for any compatibility issues that may arise with such photograph.
3. The Photograph should be in JPEG format only. Each participant will be required to submit only one photograph per theme. It is up to the participant to choose the photograph he/she wishes to submit at the time of submission.
4. Canon India shall not be liable for any error / lapse / slippage in uploading any photograph for the Photo contest.
5. The photographs should be taken strictly from a Digital SLR / Digital cameras. Photographs taken from Cellphones of any kind are not allowed to participate in the contest.

6. Any direct or indirect cost / expenses incurred by the registered participants towards taking the photograph and participating in the Photo contest shall be borne solely by the registered participant (including the cost of travelling / visiting the venue) and Canon India shall not be responsible for the same.

7. Both Color and / or black-and-white photographs are accepted in the Photo contest.
8. Objects should not be added or removed in order to enhance the shot.
9. No composite images shall be accepted in the Photo contest.
10. No participant will be allowed to see other competing entries.
11. Only in-camera editing is allowed. The photograph must not be manipulated outside the camera. If a photograph is manipulated then that entry would be disqualified from participating in the contest.

12. The true representation of what was captured at the time of taking picture must be maintained. Compositing and multiple exposures are not allowed. Sandwich shots, double exposure, Photographs which consist in any way of more than one separate image or which has been manipulated are not eligible.

13. All photographs will be judged on the basis of relevance to the theme, composition, sensitivity, creativity and style.
14. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.

15. The personal details of the Participants and Camera information of the participants provided at the time of registration shall become the property of Canon India(including its Group Companies) for its direct / indirect marketing activities.

Participation in this Photo contest is conditional on providing the above mentioned information by the participant and the participant agreeing to the above mentioned use of the information by Canon India and its Group Companies.

16. The Participants unconditionally and irrevocably grants / assigns to Canon India the copyright of the photograph submitted for the Photo contest and which shall be used by Canon India for its future marketing activities.

In case the photograph is of an individual, then such photograph will be accepted for the photo contest only when the participants will provide the consent / NOC letter from such an individual for the use of his/her photograph by Canon India for Canon India’s future marketing activities as well as the document for transfer of the copyright in such photograph in favour of Canon.

In case of any third party claim against Canon India including on account of any third party Intellectual Property Rights violation related to photographs submitted for participating in the contest, the Participant will indemnify Canon India for the same.

17. The winners shall be announced on the day of the contest and will get the privilege to attend an all-expense paid trip to Canon Photo Clinic in Japan for a period as determined by CANON INDIA.. Winners will also be notified through our CANON INDIA Facebook page.
18. Canon India reserves the right to request for a valid identity proof and other requisite documents from the Winners of the Photo contest.
19. There are various prizes to be won.
20. Photographs submitted by Participants must be entirely their own work. All images must be original and must be taken / clicked by the participants submitting the photograph.

21. The participant hereby confirms that the Photographs submitted by him shall neither be in violation of any third party Intellectual Property Rights / any law nor shall be defamatory / obscene / vulgar or detrimental to National interest or prejudicial to the interest of Canon India, its group companies or society in general.

22. Canon India reserves the absolute right to reject any photograph which is obscene / vulgar or defamatory or detrimental to National interest or prejudicial to the interest of Canon India, its group company or society in general or violates any third party IP Rights / any law.
23. Canon India reserves the right, at any time, to disqualify any Participant who submits the photograph that is not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the photo contest or who tampers with the entry process.
24. The photo contest cannot be combined with or clubbed with any other scheme and/or offer from Canon India, subsisting or announced at a future date by Canon India.
25. The photo contest is not open to Canon India employees and/or their family members / partners / associates.
