Observing Vigilance Awareness Week :
The Central Vigilance Commission has decided that this year the Vigilance Awareness Week would be observed from 30th October to 4th November, 2017 on the theme ‘“My Vision-Corruption Free India”.

As you are aware, the Central Vigilance Commission as the apex integrity institution of the country to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life, organises the Vigilance Awareness Week every year during the last week of October to coincide with the birthday of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 31st October.
Vigilance Awareness Week for the year is being organised from 30th October to 04th November, 2017 on the theme “My Vision-Corruption Free India”. Therefore, all schools are advised to observe Vigilance Awareness Week, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and provide facilities for students to take the online “Integrity Pledge” available at ‘cvc.nic.in on a voluntary basis.
It is also desirable if schools organize various activities during Vigilance Awareness Week reflecting the aforementioned theme and ensuring maximum sensitisation of students on this issue.
Activities to be conducted by schools are:
** Slogan writing/Cartoon making on ‘corruption free India’
** Elocution on ‘How can Values education contribute in controlling corruption’
** Street play on ‘How does corruption tarnish the image of country in the global perspective’
** Debate on ‘Ethical practices in organisations bring down corruption’
** Essay writing ‘Role of IT in making India corruption free ’
** Organize a Pledge Ceremony in school (Pledge enclosed as Annexure 1) on October 30th ,2017
** Participate in the ‘Run for Unity’ being organized at the state/district headquarters. Fitness and health condition of students should be kept in kind.
** Administration of “Integrity Pledge” by the students, teachers and other staff member of the school on 30.10.2017 in the school as per the copy of the “Integrity Pledge” to be uploaded by CBSE.
** Creation of “Integrity Club” in schools in order to sustain activities conducted in schools during VAW-2017, over a period of time and to ensure that ethical values are ingrained permanently in the minds of students.
The report of activities, feedback in 150-200 words including one photograph may be uploaded on the link provided from 30-10-2017 to 04-11-2017 on CBSE Academics website.
