Vasundhara Photography Competition :

Concept – ‘Kirloskar Vasundhara’ will be an innovative attempt to explore nature & analyze topical issues relating to environment, wildlife, energy, air and water. It presents a platform to the audience to evolve together to work towards providing effective and meaningful communication material for preserving our great natural heritage for the coming generations.

Objective of this festival is to raise awareness about current issues like climate change, global warming, global dimming, water and sanitation, etc. The message of the festival is to protect ‘Vasundhara’ (i.e. Earth) and leave a better world for the generations to come.

Call for Entries :
Entries are invited from photographers for a competitive photography exhibition based on the following subjects :
Subject 1 : The Environment – Seen Through My Lens
We witness a number of incidents every day. Many of these affect the environment – some benefit it whereas others harm it. These incidents may be related to ecology, wildlife, energy, air, water or other aspects of Nature. They may be positive or negative. We may like them or dislike them.

Here is a chance to show others what you have seen. Pick-up your camera and capture moments that convey a powerful message aimed at protecting our priceless Earth, our bountiful planet, our Vasundhara!

Subject 2 : River Pollution
Rivers get polluted when industrial effluent, civic wastewater, chemical waste, hospital waste, nuclear waste, industrial waste, agricultural runoff, or any other harmful material is dumped into the river directly or indirectly, knowingly or unknowingly.

Such pollution affects the quality of the water as well as the aquatic eco-system in and around the river. Here is a chance to use the creative platform of visual art to create social awareness about this problem!

Your part : Pick up the camera, point and shoot these moments that convey a powerful message about environment, wildlife, energy, air and water. Individuals, institutions, organizations, NGOs and clubs are invited to participate.

Last Date of Submission : 1st December 2017

Criteria for Entry :
** Individuals, institutions, organizations, NGOs and clubs may participate.
** Entries should be sent only in electronic format. (jpg/tiff format on a CD/DVD or Online).
** Ensure that the image size is 16? x 10? with 300 dpi resolution.
** Printed photos will not be accepted.
** Participants may submit upto 10 photographs. (Max. size of each image: 5 MB).
** Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
** CD/DVD submission on following address : Virendra Chitrav, E-9/10, Himali Society, Near Mhatre Bridge, Next to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Erandwane, Pune – 411 004.(Maharashtra, India).

Note :
** Each entry should clearly indicate the following details: Name, Address, Telephone and Cell phone numbers, Email id, Title and Subject of photograph submitted, Location of photo & Name of species.
** Detailed description of the photograph / s is desirable. In case an organization / club submits the entry, please mention the name of the organization in addition to the photographer’s name.

** With my signature, I confirm that I have accepted the rules and regulations of ‘Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival Competition’ and that the information given is complete and correct. With this, I permit the organizers of ‘Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival’ for non-commercial screening of the photographs in different cities nationally or Internationally, as a part of the Environmental Awareness Program.

I accept all the terms and conditions mentioned and hereby consent to abide by the same.

Terms & Conditions :
** This event is a competitive exhibition
** Shortlisted entries will be displayed at the exhibition. All these entries as well as some additional entries will also be part of an online exhibition.
** The process of shortlisting will be entrusted to a panel of experts drawn from the fields of environment, photography, journalism and cinema.
** The decision of the selection panel will be final and no queries in this respect will be entertained.
** For all shortlisted entries, due credit will be given.
** Entrants are entirely responsible for all entry-related costs, such as postage and costs related to any equipment including computer systems, transmission fees, etc.
** The photos, CDs / DVDs received from the entrants along with the entry form will not be returned back for any reason whatsoever
** In case of entry forms received after the last date of submission, the organizers will not be responsible for the delay caused by postal department, courier companies, etc.
** If entries sent through email or any such form do not reach the organizers due to any kind of technical fault, the organizers shall not be held responsible.
** The organizers will decide the expert panel and their decision will be final.
** The experts have the discretion to choose the number of entries.
** CDs / DVDs should be in cover.
** Entrants can submit their photographs on photokviff[AT]gmail.com
** The entry form is provided online in PDF format. Entrants may download and take a print / photocopy.
** Please be sure to write your name and address clearly on the envelope.
** No entries will be returned to entrants under any circumstances, even if a return envelope is provided.
** Entrants will not be notified of the receipt of their entries.

Prizes :
** 1st : Rs 10,000 + Trophy + Certificate
** 2nd : Rs 7000 + Trophy + Certificate
** 3rd : Rs 5000 + Trophy + Certificate
** Consolation (2 nos.) : Rs 3000 + Certificate (for each prize)

Responsibility :
** Though the organizer will attempt to treat all submitted work with the utmost care, the organizer is not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during the sending of entries either through mail or the Internet.

** The organizer is not responsible for any problems or damages experienced by the entrant due to natural forces or forces beyond the control of the organizer, such as troubles relating to computer networks, computer virus infections or unauthorized computer access.

** Entrants must possess the exclusive rights to each entered work and are responsible for having obtained any necessary permission relating to the subject / subject matter including photos or videos featuring individuals. The organizer will not be responsible for any claims or complaints against infringement of rights or damages from any parties relating to the subject / subject matter of entries and the entrant agrees to indemnify and hold the organizer harmless in such cases.
